AcuRite Iris (01512MCB) Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Weather Station

I love this acurite weather station, It is right on about everything but the temperature is about 5 degrees higher than my other thermometers when the sun is real bright and it is real hot outside, like 90 plus degrees. It was real easy to set up and the display is a nice size and bright and easy to read. Seems to function fine, I havent got to check the rain fall yet because it hasnt rained. Ive got another rain guage on the same post so I will check to see how close both read. Everthing else works fine. I really like it, great for the money.

We live in an area that experiences a microclimate different than the more populous surroundings, so having an at-home weather station is something we need to help us figure out what the weather will be like in our locale. I researched various stations online, and multiple sources said the AcuRite Iris was a great budget system that gives you plenty of accurate information for not a lot of money. Connecting the display to the monitor outdoors was easy. We haven't had any connectivity issues at all so far. Setup is a snap if you follow the instructions. For high accuracy on wind and weather conditions, mounting the instruments on a pole greater than 10' and up to 30' high is recommended. The fact that the display gives you both % humidity and dew point is great (dew point is a much better indicator of how humid it actually feels). So far, it has been extremely accurate and we're very happy with this purchase. We're able to get a better handle on what to expect in terms of weather and forecasting thanks to this station.

This one is just about like my last one, which lasted years. Setup is easy, I was able to attach to the same hardware from my previous one. My one issue is that it does not keep track of the total rain for the year. I find that it will tell me one amount but later shows a lower amount. So not consistent if you are looking for total rain for week or year. Set this up in the winter so I am now finding this out.

It took 3 days and I received it. From taking it out of the box and installing batteries and putting up took 40 minutes. I installed it yesterday calibrated the the rain fall with a cup of water very accurate. This is a amazing product I give the acu rite Iris 5 stars does exactly what they say temp is accurate humidity, wind speed and rain fall is very accurate.

Setup was easy, it looks good and seems to work fine. The inside console is a big step up from what we are used to. The size of the numbers and color coding of the data make it attractive, and the important data are easy to read. The little ‘weather ticker’ at the bottom of the screen is not easy to read unless you are close and get the light just right, but most of its information is historical so it is not critical to have at a glance. My only quibble is with the way it reports changes in barometric pressure. The barometer itself works fine, but the little arrow to indicate direction of change does not. Barometric pressure changes are reflected in the forecast pictograph, but I would prefer to see the arrow pointing up or down to help me plan for the day. All in all, at this point we are pleased and hope it lasts.

Easy to put up, well written instructions. It syncs itself. Love it. Easy to read the monitor.

Very, Very Pleased with this purchase......Excellent product with significant amount of technology, for a very reasonable price. Installation was easy with good directions. Something that will provide us important information on a daily basis.

Great product! It's sell contained (one device with all the sensor equipment on it). My past weather station had a bizarre tree of arms that had each sensor separate with wires connection them. The best feature is the solar panel/fan in the 5 in 1 sensor. I need to mount mine where the sun shines on it so I can get a wind reading. The solar powered fan draws air through the unit, so the temperature reading is right on the actual outside temperature. Other units (like my last one) would register 20 degrees hotter due to sun load. Highly recommend this product!

Tuve un pequeno problema, el tiempo no querida para de cambiarse, no habia ayuda en los instruciones pero fui al pagina de AcuRite y me ayudaron. Ya todo esta bien pero si gaste un tiempo para resolvar el problema.

I've had a few of these over the years but this one seems so far to be a winner! Easy to set up and install, good range from the outdoor unit to the indoor base, doesn't drop out signal. The data displayed is clear, precise and not complicated. Fun and interesting to use. Highly recommend.
