A great product!
I used to go to a salon once a month to have my hair glazed. I am going gray pretty rapidly (I'm 52) and love the way my new hair looks. I'm growing it long. It's not salt and pepper, but rather salt and sand (medium honey blonde naturally). I use Phyto Phytargent shampoo once a week (intensely blue/violet) and I mix John Frieda Volumizing and Sheer Blonde shampoos and conditioners for daily use. It is past my shoulders and the ends are still honey-colored but can appear brassy against the lighter grays up top. The blue shampoo helps, but the glazing did wonders. It makes an intense shine that does not add any color to your hair. The way the shine reflects light, my white/grays are glowing and the honey ends are softened, making the blend beautiful. And it does not contribute to "build up" on hair. But I was paying $35 a month to have my hair glazed and I found it needed to be done every 1-2 weeks. I found this product and decided to give it a try. There are two ways to use it. First, shampoo and condition as usual. Then add enough of this to wet hair to cover (I use a quarter-sized puddle) and apply through hair. I leave it on a couple of minutes then rinse. That is for daily use. I REALLY LIKE using the product this way. BUT I LOVE the results from using it the second way. Once a week, on dry hair, apply enough glaze to completely saturate the hair (I get five uses from one bottle doing it this way). Gently comb through. Allow to stay on your hair 20 minutes. Rinse it out, shampoo and condition as usual. You can choose which of the two methods like best, you can't go wrong either way. But I find the once a week method gives me superior results and I like the way it looks even better than the salon treatment. It does not cause yellowing or dullness, just intense shine that will fade very gradually. I can technically stretch the treatment to once every two weeks if needed. This is for any color hair, but I love the way it works on my unintentional "ombre" hair.

Glaze for curly hair.
I am excited by the result. Curly hair is dry and thick. This product brought the shine back, hydrates and reduces friz to almost nothing. The body I have makes it so easy to style.

Life Changing.
People. OMG. This product has changed my life. My hair is very fine textured, but thick in quantity. It is somewhere between wavy and curly. Depending on the day. When I was 22 I started to go gray. Not that big of a deal color-wise, but my gray hair is coarse and wiry--I joke that it's more like pubic hair than "hair hair", and so, the intrusive grays were annoying. To solve that, I've used Clairol Natural Instincts #5 for as long as I can remember. I'm going on age 48 now. The gray coverage is probably 75% and thankfully, I can still color it brown and get beautiful results with that. I was happy with just doing that only---UNTIL RECENTLY. I wasn't sure if Clairol changed the formulation, or if I had a lot of recent hair growth, or if maybe it was something in my diet or from changing long term medications, but my hair started to become very dry and lifeless, and worse--I developed what I call a FRIZZ HALO. It was super demoralizing and depressing. Nothing I did for the frizz was helping. Any kind of Argan Oil Mist or whatever just made my fine textured hair look super greasy. Sleeping on satin sheets worked for right when I woke up in the morning but by mid-day it was back. I stopped using all heat--no hairdryer, no hot tool. I researched conditioners, I tried taking silica gel and biotin , and I started just wearing my hair up all the time. But, no product contained the halo, unless I did copious amounts of hairspray, which made it crunchy and hard. I also tried Tresemme's Anti-Frizz shampoo and leave in conditioner and serum. Meh. Better than nothing, but far from best. I was sooooooooooooooooooooooo soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sooooooooooo unhappy. Then I read on Allure magazine about this product and decided to give it a try. MAGIC!!! I have my normal hair back. Youthful, smooth, full of body, soft, manageable. Thank God, I was about to chop it all off. So, others say they used this once a week or every few days. Beep that! I used it every day. Love this. So grateful for this. I feel like I got my life back. This will be a permanent part of my daily routine.

Straight hair, but puffy red face!!!!
DANGEROUS PRODUCT!! I have never in my life reacted to any kind of cosmetic or hair product. This made me so puffy and so red and blotchy that nobody was looking at how straight my hair was. The kicker is because it’s a semi permanent product. I cannot get it out of my hair so I keep reacting every single day. I keep washing it and washing it and still puffy and red the next day. John Freedman knows that how dangerous his product is. They have already reformulated it but if you order it right now from Amazon, you’ll get the same one that I did. Do not use.

Soft, shiny hair!
My hair is fairly long, down to my hips. I stopped coloring it over 3 years ago and there's a lot of gray in it now. I didn't see reviews which mentioned the kind of hair I have, so I'm adding my $.02. The pictures are after my 2nd time using this product. The first time I followed the directions for using it as a weekly treatment (apply to dry hair, rinse, shampoo, condition.) The 2nd time (4 days later - I clean my hair 2x a week) I followed directions for the daily use (shampoo, condition, then use.) I wanted to see if this product would add shine, but more importantly smooth my hair so it would brush and comb out more easily. Usually I'll wear my hair up, but it can still get some tangles. During the first time using the glaze, I was surprised I didn't need to use the entire bottle. Its consistency isn't too runny or too think, so it spread through my hair nicely. The fragrance was quite pleasant and lasted several days. After the 20 minutes, I rinsed it out. It seemed that my hair was coated at first, and not in a good way. Like you put coconut oil on your hair and realized it's not leaving anytime soon. But after the shampoo and conditioner, all was well. My hair was a little easier to detangle afterward, although I still needed to use my go-to products, Sebastian's Potion 9 and Silk Elements (like BioSilk) to make my hair manageable. I blow dry my hair just until it's dry and then hit it with a cool shot. My hair was much easier to detangle for days, plus it did have some additional shine to it. When I used the glaze the 2nd time, it was much less of an effort to get it through my hair since I put it in after shampooing and conditioning. My hair seemed a little dry after rinsing, but not really after letting it air dry for a while. I used my potion 9 and silk elements, blow dried my hair, and it feels even softer than before. The pictures don't look as good as real life. I can run my fingers all the way through without catching on impenetrable tangles. So if you have half processed, half natural (with lots of gray) long hair, this might work for you. Hopefully this will keep working for me!

Purtroppo non funziona
Mi dispiace molto doverlo dire, perché amo i prodotti john frieda, ma questo prodotto non funziona per niente. L'ho usato 3 volte alla settimana senza nessun risultato. Peccato.

With regular use hair improves.
Going grey isn't easy! In my 40s. This helped keep my previously dyed hair looking shiny and healthy...even though it was over processed. Grey hair (don't care) doesn't look that great as it grows out but with this glaze it added shine softness and fullness. I was so close to chopping it all off but after the first try I was thrilled. By the 3rd application my dry ends felt so smooth and healthy. I don't wash every day but I do rinse daily then restyle. I reapply this glaze in smaller amounts because of this and it still looks so shiny. Couldn't be more thrilled to have my transitioning hair look shiny. The only negative is it is not available in canada but it came in record time....before the 2 weeks as promised.

Hair gloss treatment
After using it over 2months, I can assure that this GIVES result! I use it fortnightly, like a hair mask, let it sit for 20 mins and rinse off with usual hair products. After couple of uses you see shine and gloss. I definitely recommend it.
