Poor Product...
Thankfully, I got this on sale and didn't pay full price. If I had paid over $20 for this, I would be mad. It is so cheap looking and feeling, like $3 plastic. It was easy enough to get it on my iPod, but was impossible to use the wheel; I could click on something, but not scroll, which, as we all know, is the only way to control an iPod classic, there is no touch screen for this model. It doesn't come down over the bottom and cover it at all. It was also extremely hard to get off, and didn't include the small piece of cardboard that everyone else is talking about. My husband eventually got my iPod out of the cover by using something to pry it out. If you are looking for protection for your iPod, this surely isn't it, and renders the device completely useless. I've found another cover that is easy snap on and works like a dream, so sorry I wasted money on this first.

Impossible to Apply
I bought the Serene Green Shades iPod Classic Cover for my black iPod 160GB.I managed to get it on with only an inch to go and an hour of labor behind me to slide this on millimeter by millimeter. I couldn't get it on any further and I couldn't get it off. I struggled to get it off and just gave up. I tore it off. I have no hopes of getting a refund, but just hope to get others to avoid this product. In the warnings it gives you all the information you'll ever need to know. I should have returned it upon reading them. It claims the plastic "may" stick to the screen. It can and it does - it may as well be vacuum suction. It recommends that you remove and reapply the case at least once a day for the first two weeks. If you consider that it might take at least an hour to do so the first few times, it's completely not worth it. There's better things to do than waste your time with this torturous labor. The most laughable aspect of this product is that it comes with minimal packaging to be "environmentally friendly". It's a good thing it comes without much else to throw away, because the case is absolute trash. The best thing that can be done for the environment is to just not buy these cases. Save your time and money.

Pretty But Useless
I was really excited about my Shades case. It was very lightweight, fit the iPod like a glove, and covered nearly the entire thing, with good cutout placement. I wasn't entirely please at how much of a gap was left at the bottom, but I thought it would be fine. The problem is that the fit over the click-wheel is SO tight, I couldn't use the wheel at all. Even gross mechanical movement like clicking forward or backward to the next or previous song was difficult; I couldn't scroll through menus or change the volume at all, which makes it entirely useless to me.As well, getting it OUT of the Shades case was nigh unto impossible until I ripped the case up the side. Which was fine, as it was going in the trash, but as Shades recommends that you periodically take the iPod out and clean any dust or particles that have accumulated through the bottoms or cutouts that could impede use or scratch your iPod, it's not very useful if you have to destroy the case to do so.Basically this was a waste of money and I'm glad I didn't throw my old case away before trying out the Shades.

So Simple, So Good!
I had never seen one of these in person and wondered if it would be as effective as the ad made it seem it would be. It is actually better than I expected; I am very impressed. The best aspect of this case is that you can manipulate the scroll wheel THROUGH the skin. That is a great improvement over other iPod skins. It also allows the center button of the scroll wheel to match the rest of the skin's color. Very cool. I bought three more today for myself and a friend who is very rough on iPods. The price is also very reasonable for such a useful tool. Good work, Shades.

Click Wheel Failure
I opened the package and was SO excited because it was exactly the color that I was looking for...And I put it on, it was a struggle...And then I went to use it...What good is an iPod if the click wheel doesn't work? I got so frustrated that I cut the plastic off of the click wheel section (it was VERY difficult) and it looks somewhat tacky...but at least I can use it now. My screen also has air bubbles in it...I can't get them to go away. I wish they'd modify it so that the click wheel would work.

Awesome
I got the serene green shade for my 160GB Classic ipod (Black) and I am quite satisfied with it. At first when I got the package I expected it to be some kind of hard plastic casing with to sides and it would encase the ipod, but what it is infact is a flexible almost plastic/gel-like sleeve (not rubbery). You slide the ipod through the opening on the bottom of the sleeve and and its a pretty snug fit so it will not slip out easily. I think its great because it fits it so perfectly, and its very thin - kind of like having it laminated in green. Like I said it is completley covered, except for the audio jack, hold button, and charge port. The screen and scroll wheel is clear though but the rest of the sleeve makes my ipod look like a hunt green color - as if naturally green, so it def looks and feels good as its also not bulky at all whatsoever. With all that being said, this is not the case you will want if you anticipate on dropping your ipod on a hard surface. I would think that with this case it would protect the ipod from scratches and dents (maybe if not thrown/dropped from too far up or away) but I primarily got this because I wanted something that did not make my ipod feel bulker or looked too cheesey with unecessary designs or what have you. I only cared about protecting it from scratches due to placing it on surfaces or from such when dropped out of my pocket. Another thing, a lot of people have had some concerns and issues with the scroll wheel not being responsive since it is also covered - I have not had issues and it works fine. If anything, its just a different feeling when scrolling on top of the plastic surface than on the scroll wheels' surface. So basically, it looks amazing, barely feels like you even covered your ipod, and it protects really well from scratches.
