Very comfy, hope and expect them to last longer than last pair of very disappointing Doc Martens. Assuming they do, you have a customer for life!

As a tourist coming to the U.K., I couldn’t leave without getting a proper pair of shoes. Everyone knows that the best in the world come from here. Found these on Amazon UK and received them as advertised literally within 24 hours of ordering. As far the vendor, I’m more than pleased. The shoes upon inspection, look beautifully made. As far as fit, it’s more like a boot then a shoe. My pair has a fairly generous fit. Definitely wear these with a proper thick, military style pair of socks. These have a military inspired lineage in their history as well. Solovair, from what I understand, was the original maker of Dr. Martens. I’ve owned many pairs of recent Dr. Martens in the States, and these appear to be a much better, harder wearing shoe. Obviously, I just received these, so I cannot possibly comment on long term wear. I expect them to last reasonable well and from what I understand, a shoe repair shop can resole these relatively easily. As we are right in the vicinity of the Dr. Martens factory stores, I did try out a few pairs of the U.K. made shoes. To my eye, these (Solovair) look to be of better quality. I do not know if the new U.K. made Dr. Martens are actually made by Solovair anymore. In sum, I would recommend these for purchase from this vendor and manufacturer as well.
