The best thing to get if you have a suprapubic catheter! Works like a dream! No leaks! Opens when you flipp the little handle! Best is that no transfer of bacteria if you have a plug that's removed manually! This is freedom from legbags! Pure awesomeness!!! 10 stars!

Finally a catheter valve that is easy to open and close yet does not open by mistake! I have searched for a valve like this for a long time. The urology groups seem to automatically recommend Bard valves which are extremely difficult to open or close. I have no fine motor issues and I struggled with the Bard valve and my daughter with limited hand strength was never able to use it without assistance. I am so glad to have found this product.

Have been using the Bard flip flow valve for past year but they were/are running into some serious supply problems as well as quality control issues so I was panicking as I thought my options without the flip-flow valve ranged from bad to worse. I was starting to panic when I discovered these UGO valves on Amazon. Cant believe how much better and much smaller these UGO valves are !!! Smaller size is more discreet under clothing, much, MUCH easier to open and close the valve ( like day and night !!! ) and just tap them a time or two before closing the valve when you finished with you business and there is absolutely NO LEAKING, unlike the Bard flip-flow which have a very large percentage of their valves that leak. I am so glad I found these, I will never go back to the Bard flip-flow as long as these are available. THANK YOU UGO !!! GREAT product at a very fair price. If you are a long time catheter wearer and use a plug or a flip flow, try these valves !!!! They are GREAT !!!!

It’s a much better valve than the Bard valve. This product is smaller, which makes it less likely to get caught in clothing and accidentally open, dig into skin, or show through clothing. The open/close lever is smaller but feels more substantial and secure. It is a good product, but it needs a better method of connecting the catheter to a drainage bag, and it needs a more secure, one-way device to prevent bacteria from traveling up the catheter. The small, clear section of tubing is the only way to connect the valve to an overnight bag, and it can be quite difficult to connect the two, depending on the type of catheter you have. This can lead to contamination as you struggle to connect/disconnect the two items every morning and evening. So far I’ve not had it leak or open accidentally. I’d really love a fully integrated catheter system with a valve and stat-lock as part of the catheter itself, because it could cut down on risk of infection, make it easier to quickly and cleanly switch between a night bag, a leg bag, or no bag. I wish more people knew these valves existed, as it can add tremendously to quality of life if you don’t need a drainage bag 24/7. It’s almost a great product and just needs a few improvements. It’s definitely worth trying.

Best flip valve I've used. Most valves require significant pressure to move the lever at every point in the arc of their travel. Not so for this valve. The first 35-degrees or so of movement, whether opening or closing the valve presents almost no resistance -- only in the middle of its movement, does it require the force that other valves require throughout the whole arc of their movement. If you're a man, this makes it possible to open the valve one-handed, making you look normal as you stand at a urinal, not like a goof who's fussing around too much. Just the best valve out there, but expensive.

These are very similar to the Bard brand valves. I really like them. I had been using the Bard brand but saved a few bucks by trying these in a box of five. They are a little bit smaller than the Bard. The work the same way. Valves are supposed to be changed every 7 days - I am on my second valve of the box of five. I have had no issues or problems to report - they are working exactly as they should. One thing that I thought was very nice was the packaging materials that were included in the box! I have been living with a SP Tube catheter for almost nine months now. Had some of the instruction provided with these valves been presented to me 9 months ago - I would likely have had much less UTI's!! There were never ANY instructions provided with the Bard brand (or my doctors). IF you find yourself in a position where you are going to have to live with a catheter (SPT or Foley) for a long period of time - these valves will make your life easier - providing you are like me and do NOT like wearing a urine bag all day!! These replace the urine collection bag - fit right on the end of your catheter. This allows you to go to the bathroom or urinal and void in an almost normal fashion. This also allows you to keep those pelvic and bladder muscles working :)

The valve is the best. Tried different brand but this is very reliable. No leaks.

Très pratique pour retrouver une meilleure mobilité qu'avec un sac de jambe, surtout que l'utilisateur est déjà handicapé par ailleurs. Impossible de trouver ce type de matériel en pharmacie . Le seul bémol est le prix
