This is a great product. I got a cold sore last week and this kept me comfortable, my lips moisturized and I would say quickened the healing process! The taste is nearly non-existent tangerine; very pleasant. Will purchase again!

It works great for dry chapped lips. I used for a cold sore, and helped it disappear quickly! Smells great!

This balm doesn't leave my lips waxy or oily, and the sunblock is a boon. I don't typically get cold sores, but I've read that Lysine is also good for general skin problems. My lips occasionally become so chapped they split and peel. When that happens, I alternate between this lip balm and Aquaphor multiple times per day, and I scrub every 3-4 days with Lush's lip exfoliator. Fingers crossed, this keeps working. My doctor said the next step is a topical steroid if this continues, which I'm trying to avoid. Exfoliating sounds counterintuitive, I know, but the scrub has some nice, soothing oils. It smoothes my lips, stops the skin from peeling, and stops me from worrying at it. Again though, I am not treating cold sores and I'd recommend you look into it before you consider exfoliating cold sores. I noticed some reviewers said the stick/tube was not sealed. I've ordered two sticks, the first one a couple months ago. They were both sealed with a stiff, silver sticker holding the cap onto the stick. If there was a problem with unsealed sticks at one time, it appears to have been resolved.

I had a cold sore for the past 7 months that would not go away. It was very small but would just not go away. I tried Abreva, Herpecin-L, oragel for cold sores, the Mederma cold sore patch, lip clear lysine+, alcohol, peroxide, And lysine tabs. I was at the end of my rope and was just going to get a prescription. UNTIL I tried this. I applied alcohol, this lip product and took the lysine pills 3 times a day and it was gone within a few days. It is Very moisturizing and lasts a long time on the lips before you need to reapply. I especially like that I can apply it at night and it is still thick on my lips the next morning. If does not slide off. Good value for the money and flavor. Buy it!

It gets a 3 star because of the packaging. I do not like chapsticks or lipstick that come packaged with an avery label right on the tube. I could not turn the product out of the tube because the label was on the part you turn. I had to peel a little section off to get it to turn. You can't peel it off or it leaves a sticky residue. The tube should gave been sealed in plastic. The actual product is nice on my lips though.
