This is exactly what I was looking for. Shipping was really fast. First of all, the packaging: carefully and beautifully packaged. The packaging truly protects the product. It's very high quality. The slicer: It's easy to assemble and dissemble. Made of solid and durable bamboo material that has a delicious aroma. It looks very nice on the countertop, all my friends loved it. You can choose the slice width from very thin to a think slice, so it's very convenient. It comes with a cute bamboo butter spreader that turned out to be my husband's favorite part. The crumb catcher is just perfect, cleanup is very easy and comes with a pretty bag to store it. Absolutely love it.

Just got this today, so can't say about cleaning. Is very sturdy, attractive, love that it's easy to assemble and disassemble. I have a tiny house and like that it's space-friendly. I am making bread to try it out. I've used similar slicers in past and like that you have three sizes of slice width to choose from-you put the bread in the area with that size. The sellers are great-packaging very sturdy and attractive (think gift giving),it arrived quickly, and they follow up with little e-cookbooks, money back guarantee, and contact info. I don't see how it's "foldable" though. Its three pieces that fit into the base, secured by the back piece. You have to remove the back, then the sides but it's still easy.

The width can be adjusted many different ways. My primary complaint is that the slit for holding the bread knife isn't deep enough so the end of the knife tilts upwards. Otherwise, it's a decent slicer. When put together using the end board to lock the sides in place, it's acceptably stable.

I could never cut thin slices of my homemade bread. They were always crooked and would fall apart. When I bought my bread machine, a friend recommended I get a bread-slicing guide right away. She was right--it makes slicing the bread so much easier! This one is easy to clean and I love that there are varying thicknesses. It's super easy to assemble and use, and I love that I can fold it down, put it in its bag, and store it in my crowded pantry. When I make bread, I cut the entire loaf--I only make smaller loaves and we eat it within a day or two. It can be tricky to slice the bottom of the bread and you might put marks in the wood, but I've had no issues with this so far. On a side note, when I was shopping for a bread slicer, I was shocked at the number that included a knife, or the negative reviews for ones that didn't include a knife. Bread knives are not hard to find, and I personally preferred to buy a slicer that did NOT include a knife since I have an excellent set of Kitchen Aid knives, plus two other bread knives. This one seemed to be better quality for the price because of that, and I was not disappointed.

This comes in 5 pieces, including the two "cutting guides" you can see in the picture. The slots on the two guides were so different and so misaligned as to make it impossible to cut even a single squared-off slice...the "thin" spaces were half as thick on one as on the other, and the "thick" spaces, while approximately the same thickness, were so misaligned the knife cut at almost 30 degrees off from square. The packaging literature/instructions go to great length about how happy they want their customers to be; it has been 6 days since I contacted the supplied email address, asking only to get replacement guides that were aligned, but not a peep so far. I was hoping not to have to return this to Amazon, but that looks like my only choice. Build quality (other than the stated problem) is low-to-medium, about what you'd expect for a $30 product made from bamboo. I make a lot of sourdough-type bread and am really disappointed. Sigh. Later - I returned the product for a refund and two months later was contacted by the seller, who replaced the item with a functional unit at no charge. As before, build quality was as expected, so I am now satisfied with this product.

As someone who makes fresh bread every week and a lot of food from scratch this was a perfect product for me! It’s sturdy and good quality, easy to clean, easy to use, and I love how it makes each of my slices of bread uniformed! It also shipped really quick... This looked like a perfect solution to get our homemade loaves to be cut evenly, but have had so many issues with the design and use. First, because the tray that the bread sits on does not have any notches in it, when you're cutting a loaf you have to almost saw into the tray to cut all the way to the bottom. Second, the loose way that the tray sits in the crumb catcher and the guides sit in the tray, makes the whole thing wobble such that cutting is practically a two-person job. Finally, today I slid the backstop into one of the larger sections and now one of the guides has started to crack/split. This was such a promising product that has led to disappointment, unfortunately.

I am very pleased at the way this little device works. I is easy to put together having only a few parts. And gives consistent bread slices. With choice of three thicknesses. The only issue I had was not with the device itself but with the length of my bread knife (7 3/4"). So I had to remedy that by purchasing a 12" bread knife. 10" would work but I like having a bit more length.

It does what it says it does ... a tool that ensures that all my bread slices are consistently straight and uniform. Easy to put together, easy to clean, and love that it disassembles for efficient storage.

It wasn't very sturdy and the fine print tells you it doesn't include the knife which is why I bought it as a gift for my partner. Sadly by the time he opened it and went to use it I missed the return date, otherwise would have 100% returned it.
