Classic Mirror Polished White Tungsten Carbide 2mm to 10mm Comfort Fit Wedding Band Ring

Background: Prior to buying this White Tungsten Carbide wedding band, I owned a regular gray tungsten carbide wedding band. For whatever it is worth, I thought that the regular gray tungsten carbide ring was fine. However, my wife thought it looked a little too "industrial". Portions of the regular tungsten carbide ring were dark gray, and she said that it was not the prettiest color.Initial Reaction: After doing some research, I decided to try one of the new White Tungsten Carbide rings. All I can say is WOW! I got the white tungsten carbide ring in the mail today, and it is really VERY nice looking! It is not "white" like a piece of paper. Rather, it looks very much like a highly polished white gold ring. It also has a nice heavy weight to it.How It Is Made: Here are the technical facts regarding white tungsten carbide... The ring is composed primarily of gray tungsten carbide and nickel. A coating (predominantly chromium and a platinum group metal) is applied to the ring using physical vapor deposition. The vapor deposition provides superior adhesion as compared to traditional plating techniques. The white tungsten carbide ring will maintain the brilliant 'white' finish of the coating due to the hard scratch resistant [predominantly] chromium coating and the improved adhesion between the coating and substrate.Bottom line: This ring has the advantages of a regular tungsten carbide ring, and the look/feel of a white gold ring. Based on what I have read, white tungsten carbide is not quite as scratch resistant as regular gray tungsten carbide. However, white tungsten wedding bands are MUCH more scratch-resistant than Titanium, Stainless Steel, or gold wedding bands.Final Thoughts: If there are any problems or issues with this ring, I will provide an update to this review. In the meantime, I think you will really like it if you are looking for an inexpensive wedding band that is much more durable than a traditional gold ring. But the usual 'work rules' still apply... If you are working on heavy equipment or if you are handling strong abrasives like bricks or ceramics, take off your ring! Better safe than sorry.Update: After owning & wearing this ring for almost two years, it is still 100% scratch free and the color/finish still looks perfect.

I needed a replacement wedding band and, although I didn't want to spend a fortune, I wanted something classy looking in a wide band. After looking through the selection at Amazon, I narrowed it to a few rings. This ring had the width, the look, and the heft (as the density of tungsten is nearly identical to that of gold). If a product has only ten or twenty reviews, sometimes I am concerned that they may all be by employees of that company. This ring has an exceptionally high rating and has almost 3700 reviews!I am thrilled with my purchase. The comfort fit band is, well, very comfortable. The size is spot on. It is a beautiful ring and I am so pleased with my purchase. Actually, my wife likes it so much, she has ordered one for herself for occasional wear. The only thing with her relatively small finger is that she couldn't get the same width as me. These rings are SO strong and sturdy! Well worth the price! Came in cute little black bag. Correct size. Came on time. I have a 3mm and my husband has a 6mm. I love this company. It's hard finding things that stand the test of time. So if you're undecided - look no further! Buy it! I have paired my band from this company with my .5ct moissanite engagement ring. It's perfect! I love the weight of these rings too. Authentic! Would definitely recommend! If something happens to my band, I will buy from this company again.UPDATE: bought another, a 2mm. I'm not really sure if this is the kind of review that they want, but my daughter is 7 and learning the elements. She needed to report to her class about tungsten, so she asked me about it. I told her it was one of the hardest and densest metals, and she wanted to see some. We got on amazon and searched for it, and the ring popped up. I had heard in the past never to buy one because if it got crushed on your finger the doctor had to cut your finger off (total lie). She wanted me to get the ring, and it was super cheap, price not quality. It arrived very quickly and was much nicer than I thought it could possibly be. Only complaint was it seemed a little on the large side. Well, my daughter took it to school and got an "A" on her presentation. All the little kids took turns dropping and throwing the ring on the ground. Somehow it didn't get lost, but nearly just as amazing it came back without a scratch or dent. It still has a perfect mirrored finish. Back to it being larger than my other 11.5's. Turns out it must change in size more than my other rings based on temp. After putting it on for about an hour it seemed to magically adjust to the right size. Same thing happens when I take it off overnight and leave it on my granite countertop. It takes an hour to heat up on my hand and it swells up and fits perfectly. It's just an amazing ring for the value! Coworkers of mine saw it and thought it was white gold because of how heavy it is, and their jaws dropped when I tossed it on the concrete. They were equally amazed when they saw the mark on the concrete and not a mark on the ring. I don't write reviews, but I thought this one disserved a big thumbs up. Still not sure if this is the review they were hoping for, but if a bunch of 7 year olds and a bunch of 40 something men can't scratch it and all think it's pretty cool they have something going for them! I'm a fan of Tungsten Carbide rings, and this one is my absolute favorite. Let me add that I wear a size 5 ring, and I like wide bands. The 7mm fits me beautifully! This ring is scratch-resistant and extremely comfortable to wear. Plus the shine is stunning. Highly recommend.

The Ring fit perfectly, feels very nice and is very comfortable. it has a little bit of weight to it, but i found it lighter than the last one I had. So far no scratches. The only thing not quite expected was the color that appears on the website, isnt quite the same. its more of a flat tone rather than the warm color in the picture. Still very nice and doesnt have that grey metallic look that most regular tungsten rings have. Definitely more on the light side

It is never cleaned but still shinny to these days!
