Goof Off FG720

I wish I had taken a before and after! I have grey velvet sofas in my formal living room. My 4 yr old found a black sharpie and colored all over one of the seats. This was over a few months ago. I bought this in a whim and let me tell you, I ran here to right a review. Not o my did all the black colorings come off, it only took 5 minutes to soak in and dissolve e the marker. My sofas are good as new. Definitely works. Has no harsh smell and won’t ruin your fabric. Definitely recommend 10/10.

Love love love this stuff! Especially when it comes to dried paint on my kids clothes. Works like a charm!

This is good stuff and I've used Goof Off for years as a way of cleaning up latex paint drips or splatter. Since it claims to be effective on a lot of other types of stains I decided to compare it to another of my favorites cleaning products, Krud Kutter. Well, it's good - but Krud Kutter did a better job. (The project was cleaning some very tough old stains in a bathtub.) This is still my favorite for removing paint from baseboards and woodwork following a painting job. So I guess it belongs on the cleaning product shelf next to everything else. The next logical test would be to see how Goof Off does compared to Goo Gone on something sticky.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is a great product that works well for sticky items & stains removal in clothing.

I used this on a carhart chore coat that had been sprayed with haudralic oil. Lightened the stain but did not remove it completely. Coat had to be washed multiple times after treatment and still has a fishy odor.

This stuff is really good! I have a plastic fan that I use for cooling off the room when it gets hot. The fan got a lot of fire smut on it due to a small kitchen fire we had. Everyone is safe but the fan was filled with black smoke. I bought Goof Off, took the fan apart put the pieces in the tub and sprayed it down with the Goof Off. I didn't even have to wait two mins, but by the time I had finished spraying all the parts, I got ready and started pouring hot water on the parts that were saturated with Goof Off and the soot just ran completely off. I love it. This product cleans quite a few things, but I don't think I have used it quite enough to give a more detailed review of other objects. It did clean kitchen walls pretty good and the stove top. When I know more, so will you.

I just used this on a white carpet where I had an auto grease spot. It was such an eye sore and I was pleasantly surprised it took it out!

This is not real Goof Off. It’s a waste of money. Stick with the solvent types Goof Off.
