Nice little plane
I had an issue with the first one I was sent where by the front foot was jammed and did not adjust as it was meant to but was promptly sent a replacement. It seems to be pretty well set up out of the box but the sole looks like it will need some flattening to make it perfect, this is not unexpected at this price point though in my mind. Have not used it in anger yet but am fully expecting it to do a fine job based on the quick tests I have done, blade seems sharp enough out of the box but again could do with a proper sharpening to ensure the edge is clean and sharp. Perfectly serviceable tool worth the money paid for it.

Spear & Jackson block plane
I was very impressed with this block plain. I is well made and of smart appearance with black enamelled metal and brass adjustment knobs. Once the blade had been sharpened it held its edge well. The depth of cut was easy to adjust and the tool sat well in the hand. It was possible to take the finest of slivers off the end grain of a mitred joint. A well made traditional carpenters tool and good value for money.

Good value
First time I've owned a plane of any kind, and I've found it very useful for trimming garden gates in wet weather. Loads better than a Surform rasp, which I've always found hard work. There's a bit of a learning curve, and you need to sharpen it before use, but I've managed fine with a "poor man's Scary Sharp" setup: 1000 and 2000 grit sandpaper on a flat piece of MDF. Serious woodworkers may need something better, but for general household bodging it's great.

Block plane
Needs some attention before use (sharpening, soil flattening, setup etc.) but that's expected for the money. Good enough for my occasional use.

Nice plane
This is a neat little block plane that never gets completely put away. Its one of those tools that remains handy. It’s an entry level tool that doesn’t cost much and does a decent job on normal projects. I have to think about costs and yes, I have better, more expensive planes but it can be adjusted to do good work and is generally available on my table or bench for the kind of stuff that I do.

Super Hobel
Was sollte dieses verhältnismäßig kleine „Dingelchen“ an meiner Buchenholzleiste abbekommen ???
