Fits like a glove...
2020 Ram 1500, 5'-7" bed. Just installed it so I cannot comment on weather resistance quite yet, but I like the seals around the perimeter. Look good to me. Went with Gator this time (4th cover) because (a) the one I used to buy went from the insane price of $800 to an even MORE insane $1500, (b) no one will buy an old used tonneau cover (just a loss of $$), and (c) I tried Gator custom front seat floor mats for the first time on this truck and they were (a) perfect fit, (b) cheaper than the ones they advertise every 5 minutes at Xmas time (I've purchased 3 sets of those and never will again - Gator only here on out!), and (c) are much NICER mats than the ones they advertise at Xmas time. I was impressed! Onces again, with this cover, Gator comes in lower cost and better quality than most in the price range. I looked at a bunch and didn't want to invest a ton and felt I could trust Gator a bit after the floor mats. Went on in about 2 hours (it was about 100 degrees out), but it was my first soft cover installation. If I did another, I'm certain I could do it in less than an hour. Very clear instructions and perfect fit. Simple design and well built. Make sure you look in all the packing materials for your parts (I thought they forgot the clamps, but they were wrapped in the same brown paper as the rest of the packing). Also, look carefully - one of the nuts gets stuck in the tensioner tube - looks like they missed one - but they even put a paper notice in to look inside the tube, so they must get a lot of calls for "missing nuts". I'm keeping this truck until it rots off the frame - wanted something to protect the box - fills with water and gets between the (stupid) plastic bed liner and the box. Maybe it will rust a teeny bit slower, now.

Looks great! Install is easy, but a little confusing
Based on the reviews, it seems they're combing different styles into one. I got the roll-up version. It fits and looks great on my 2021 Ram 1500 short-bed. I was hesitant to buy based on my single experience owning a tonneau cover before (30 years ago!) which looked good, but was kind of a pain to use and had an annoying semi-fixed bar across the top of the tailgate. This one is MUCH improved and I'm happy with it. There are a couple of small things that have me waffling between a 4 and 5-star review. One is price. It seems to fluctuate on this product. When I bought mine a week ago, it was sixty dollars less than it is today (who knows what it is when you are reading this.) Based on my price, I'd round up to 5 stars. Based on today's price, I'd round down to 4 stars. Mine had one minor problem. One of the rails was missing an end cap so I had nothing to stick the foam pad to... but I found it in the bottom of the bow. The small screw was stripped, but since it was compressed against the back of the bed, it didn't really matter - it will stay on. My other issue was with the installation directions. At first glance they looked great. I've had so many BAD installation guides recently, but this had big, clear drawings and used English that made sense... but... I was still confused. They are very bad at telling you which direction things go or which rail goes on which side, or if the little tension block goes in the front or the back. The drawings do a poor job of conveying WHERE it is you are working (rear/back/left/right). Does this white space represent the truck or the air? It's actually fairly intuitive, but I didn't want to mess anything up, so it took me over an hour to install it . If I had to do it again knowing how things are oriented, or if I had watched a video first, I could probably install it again in 15 minutes. Yes, the rail with the lever goes on the driver's side at the tailgate end. The lever faces down. Yes, the end of the rails with the two holes/slots goes at the cab-end of the bed, and yes, that second slot is where the tension bracket goes. It's a little snug, but the cotter pin slides through the hole in the bracket that (barely) extends through the rail. Stick the pin in horizontally. Yes, the "head" (the crossbar with the rolled-up fabric) is oriented with the rubber flap facing the cab. Yes, the rails are mounted on the SIDE of the bed rim, not on top, with the "hook" tape flush with the top and leaning in at a 45-degree angle. Yes, it's a precise fit with the tailgate so make sure you position it with the gate closed. Once installed, tailgate WILL open and close without having to loosen or remove any part of the cover. The fInished appearance is tight and professional. I was afraid it was going to take significant tugging and pulling to get it to fit well, but it did not. Just rolling it out and onto the hook-and-loop was nearly perfect. Just gave a light pull as I attached it and it was good to go. Very nice. As long as the price is right, I definitely recommend this product. 4.5 stars Hope this helps. If you found my review helpful, please consider hitting the "thumbs up" button.

Great cover! Buy it!
Fits great, great quality for the price. My truck is a 2025 1500 Laramie 4D 5โ 7โ box 4x4. Installation is straightforward, no tension adjustment needed. You canโt close the tailgate and then close the cover. You have to close the cover then the tailgate. Instructions mention both options depending on your vehicle.

Soft cover looks good for 2020 Ram 1500
Having just purchased my 2020 Ram 1500 I had a need for a bed cover. My anticipated need is for periodic covering - I'll probably keep it open most of the time unless anticipating rain or wanting to cover something too enticing to leave exposed. A review of available options found this offering - the combination of simplicity, price, and warranty made this an easy decision. For the installation - I'm glad I watched the install video on the manufacturer's website (go to this page and then scroll down to find them https://gatorcovers.com/p/gator-srx-roll-up-tonneau-cover/v/ram/truck-1500/2020/ ). While the printed instructions are actually quite good nothing beats being able to see the whole process. The main challenge I faced was the bed liner. My truck came with a "TrailFx" brand bed liner. The thickness of the liner prevented direct installation of the cover rails. It took a little bit to figure that out. So - I had to notch out the liner. I used a hot knife to do so as my butane soldering iron made it convenient. This product is made to fit a stock truck bed of the specified size - so I can't criticize the manufacturer for this as the product is exactly as represented. Followed the instructions from there. The next challenge I had was installing the tensioners - specifically inserting the retaining pins into the tensioners. After fighting a bit I had a moment of clarity - I used a clamp to squeeze the tensioner tight to the bottom of the rail which opened the retaining pin hole. Easy from there. Unrolling and re-rolling I can tell this isn't a good choice for something that is going to be regularly opened & closed. It's doable - just time consuming and inconvenient. For constant use I'd want something fixed - either a tri-fold or a full-length lid. But for my purposes I think this will work exactly as I intended. It latches solidly and looks like it will seal - time will tell. Will this be a 100% waterproof seal for the bed? Don't know yet - I may update this review later. But I wanted to get an initial review out - the straightforward design merited comment.

Nice fit looks great/ Updated
Good directions and easy to install. There are also videos online if you have problems. Itโs a nice clean looking fit. It rained the night after I installed it and very very little water got in. (See photo) However, I do have stake caps in the stake holes which Iโm sure helped. No sagging from water accumulation. It appears the rain ran off as it should. It took me about an hour in the GA heat to install. Someone younger it probably takes 20-30 minutes. UPDATE: Iโm still very satisfied with this cover after 18 months. Itโs maintained its color and fit. Still doesnโt allow much water in the bed even during downpours or going through the car wash. I consider it a great value for the money spent. I would definitely recommend.

Bad customer service.
I bought mine in 2019. itโs been on my truck for about 5-6 years now.i have a plastic latch for when the cover is rolled up that broke off. Also, I started to notice some Velcro going bad in a spot and now itโs a good 8โ spot where the Velcro no longer sticks. This lets in rain/ snow etc. About 6 months ago now driving down the interstate, I had looked back and the whole truck bed looked like a parachute. Luckily it didnโt come unlatched or anything as to cause an accident for anyone behind me. I have been sending emails to Gator customer service since June 2025 explaining what happened and wondering if this would be converted under their limited lifetime warranty. I am still waiting to hear back after four emails sent. Rating is for customer service quality, as there is none.

make sure the cover is even on the edges both sides before latching
its very easy to install 15 minutes if you have the right sockets only thing i didn't know was the cover had slid a bit to one side of the bracket you literally just have to pull it to even it up was perfect after i adjusted it (prob happened during shipping) seems to fit prefect and looks amazing

Good for the price.
For the price, it is of good quality. Compared to my previous Truxedo, the hardware is cheaper quality and no auto tension control. Otherwise pretty good. About 45min install. Ps - may actually be made by Truxedo. Original packaging had a waybill from Truxedo to Amazon.

30 to 45 min install
Followed their YouTube video and it really couldn't have been simpler. This was easier than changing the engine oil. This is a 1-beer job. Couldn't comment on product durability as it's only been 24 hours but so far so good. Great price, great product, easy install.
