The standard for chains.
It's a Shimano chain! It's nothing fancy, but you know it's going to work, and you know it's going to be reliable. It looks great when you first install it, but like all chains, unless you wax them, they'll start looking grimy pretty quickly. There are probably slightly cheaper alternatives out there, but I don't know why you'd cheap out to save a couple of bucks. This is quiet and smooth as long as the rest of your drivetrain is properly adjusted, and they'll last you for years if you keep them properly lubed.

Good chain
Bomb proof chain. Replace when it stretches. Keep lube and clean and will last for a solid year of heavy riding.

Ozark Trail G1 Explorer with 7 speed cassette- perfect match.
This was my first chain swap. Perfect fit for my 7 speed Ozark Trail G1 Explorer with 7 speed Shimano hyper glide cassette. This Shimano chain came with same amount of links and rivets as the OEM- perfect match. Needed a chain breaker to remove old chain. Didnt need my chain pliers to install the new one. Just read the instructions- the mater link clipped on exactly as the instructions described. Excellent value with easy install, just wipe away the factory oil from its surfaces so you dont attract dirt and grime. Made in Taiwan.

Good chain, bad masterlink
Chain fits perfectly, however the masterlink showed up completely bent out of shape. Thankfully I had spares, or I would’ve been screwed. Easy to install when you have a functional masterlink. Definitely worth it, aside from the masterlink issue.

Completely fixed everything
I was in a crash and somehow my chain got bent really bad. At first I thought the derailleur was the problem because it would constantly ghost shift and it was extremely frustrating. So I just decided to get a new chain and suddenly the derailleur is working perfectly without even tuning it and it’s shifting so smoothly. The only issue I had with installation was the master link was extremely frustrating to install and I think I damaged it so I probably need to replace it. They really need to improve the design of that master link

Use Shimano parts with Shimano systems!
Shimano parts just work better. I've had this "Schwinn" bicycle for about two years and it has always had issues with the chain not staying engaged in the cassette, so I read reviews that said Shimano chains work better with Shimano systems. They're right!! Not sure why the bike mfg used the FGM chain, but they did and it was the inferior choice.

bad quick link
The quick link is of VERY LOW quality. Had to take a link out. Had to stick a screw driver between the links while tightening the two links wide a chain tool. Junk

Perfect for 8 speed cassette
Easy to install (push link), comes lubed and ready to ride. Perfect length for an 8speed cassette, shifts smoothly.
