The SystemBuild Farmington Storage Cabinet is a stylish way to stay on top of your organization. The rustic barn style design with rustic medium brown finish gives the look of an old weathered cabinet but the sturdy laminated particleboard and MDF make this Cabinet the perfect piece for all of your storage needs.

The GOOD, the BAD,, and the UGLY. Read this and save hours.
The GOOD! This thing, once built, is solid, good looking, and I might order another. I'm a masochist. The BAD! Watch out for three things that will make your life a living hell! 1. DO NOT Let all the Styrofoam particles loose in your house. The million tiny particles are magnetic. You can't simply brush them off or vacuum them like normal particles - theses are super sticky particles. You'll see what I mean. Kinda like a snowstorm. Been picking up tiny Styrofoam flakes for a week so far. And of course there are 166 parts (I counted them and got to know each intimately). Unbelievably there was only one part missing - a wood dowel - which I substituted with a sawed off pencil. Creativity, endurance, patience, intelligence, and fits of anger - all required with this baby! Oh, one more bad thing - after you empty all the parts out of the box and get all the Styrofoam particles back inside of it, it must remain sealed forever, which is a problem when you try to get rid of it, unless you have a 7 foot by 2 foot garbage can. The UGLY! Considering this thing weighs in at about 80 lbs and is unwieldly to handle especially for our UPS person, it was packaged as if it weighed 10 lbs! This could be reinforced so easily. Luckily, although the package was crushed and mashed here and there, the parts were all was okay. A miracle! Then there is the problem of the middle door hinge that cannot be adjusted because the engineers positioned the adjusting screw behind a shelf, which would require taking the entire cabinet apart to remove! the shelf to make an adjustment when you discover that the door is crooked! You'll see what I mean. And of coarse almost every screw must be made of soft aluminum. The best way to screw everything in is to find a normal screw in your tool box and pre-screw everything to widen the screw holes so you won't strip out the wannabe screws included. You'll see what mean. Whatever you do, remember to screw the cam bolts in STRAIGHT!! They really want to go in crooked, and if they do, the cam locks don't work! Disassembly required again! And the cam bolts are very soft. Use a combination of numbers 1,2,or 3 Phillip's heads, and a straight , sharp regular screwdriver that might work after the phillip heads strip out. For sure, don't screw down part "I" - a little block of wood that begs to split in half with any force. Using all the skills and experience I have garnered over 7 decades, I superglued the split-in-half little block of wood. Of course it did not hold, so I made another block of wood out of WOOD and made it work. I've aged.

Better than expected after I read terrible reviews
I was looking for something affordable and that went with our rustic decor...BINGO! Our kitchen has next to zero storage and we are still a few years from a gut remodel...so we didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a piece of furniture but wanted something that will last and wasn’t ugly...this piece is exactly what we wanted. This pantry seems very sturdy so far. It took my husband and I 1.5-2 hours to assemble with a battery powered screwed driver. I would not try to assemble with just manpowered tools. It went together easily and the instructions were as explicit as any other piece of furniture we’ve bought. My only complaint...if you can call it a complaint...is that the safety bracket to attach to the wall is too short. Our pantry cannot sit flush against the wall due to our baseboard and a telephone jack behind it. The bracket is too short to screw into the wall and the top of the pantry as designed. I bought a generic safety strap and will be securing it with that, but it was extra money spent. Just an FYI if you are like me and the pantry can’t go flush against the wall.

BEWARE!
I got the tall two door pantry cabinet. BEWARE. This is a nice looking cabinet, BUT● I put hinges on incorrectly because pilot holes matched up to them. (THE CORRECT WAY DID NOT MATCH UP TO PILOT HOLES!) THEN......● can not be corrected because permanent shelve is installed blocking screw unless you take whole thing apart. :-(● I am gonna have to get a tool to cut screw away from frame and reattach a little higher. Hope it works.!● it was my error, but if pilot holes were in correct location to start with it would not have happened.● it has many, many steps to get it together. Overall if your easy going and can handle stress maybe you might want to get one. But get help putting together. ( two calm people). Also I recommend wood glue for a sturdier cabinet. Good Luck.● going to a Lowe's to get my tool. :-\

Not delivered when promised, damage, and paced in nasty styrofoam!
I was so excited to find a cabinet that met the size and color I needed. I placed the order on Amazon on April 21, 2019. Promised delivery date was April 29th. Everyday from the 29th till May 3rd, when I actually received it, UPS tracking kept saying it would be delivered that day by 8pm. After many calls and complaints I finally found out that it got lost in the MPLS center and had finally been found and delivered. After all that, my husband and I set to putting it together. It took us about 2 hours to put it together. If my husband wasn’t good at reading blueprints, it would have taken much longer. The directions were very detailed iand had lots of steps to get to the assembled cabinet. I would highly recommend using a set of saw horses so your back doesn’t get tired. Plus it’s easier to put the whole thing together at the end. Also recommend using a drill to drill out all the little screw holes, such as are in the back piece. Makes it easier and faster. My biggest complaint is almost all the corners were chipped off and many other places were damaged or scratched. Not a HUGE deal for me as this is in my back door entry/ laundry room in a corner. But if putting it in a prominent place it would for me.And then there was all the styrofoam packing!! It had been crunched and shredded inside the box and when we opened it ,it went flying everywhere and stuck to everything! What a mess!Overall, the cabinet serves my needs but just wish it had come when promised, come with no damage, and not had that nasty styrofoam to cleane up.
