424 Sparebumper Black

Got one about ten years ago and it is working great. Wanted a 2nd one for my new truck.

This is a follow up review from my earlier post. I purchased this product at the end of January 2019. I put it on my vehicle in the second week of February. This morning Friday March 15th, 2019 I was re-ended in a three car collision. The person following behind me was following too close and we had to stop short. They were able somehow to stop about an inch from my truck but the car behind her was not. The rear person collided with the rear end of the car behind me at about 25mph and drove that car into the back end of my truck. Luckily I had Jeff’s product there to protect me THE SPARE BUMPER 424. They towed her car off and the dealer gave my truck a clean bill of health. Just a black scuff mark on the bumper that will buff out with the next wash. THANK YOU SPARE BUMPER FOR YOUR AWESOME PRODUCT. I will never drive another vehicle without one. I will be purchasing one for my wife’s vehicle. Please see the pictures.

Very happy with product, not tailed nearly as often. I drive with k9 daily and this extra layer of protection gives me peace of mind.

Made well and great value! Moved to NJ, and have been hit twice in the back... needed protection for my new Ram truck.

After one year my side cover is missing

I bought the Superbumper a few years ago. The primary reason I bought the Superbumper was that I often back up to loading docks with my F-150 and this bumper allows me to back up until I make contact allowing me to get as close as possible to the loading dock without ever damaging my truck. The bumper works perfectly for this purpose. But over time I found that the bumper also made a great step to climb in and out of the rear of my truck. The bumper also looks really good. I have people ask me all the time: what is it? and where did you get it? No other product on the market can match the quality, strength, or looks of the Superbumper.In addition, I always knew that the Superbumper would help protect my truck if it was ever rear ended. I never wanted to test it, but the other day it finally happened. My truck was rear ended by a van while I was stopped in traffic. I'm a former police officer who has investigated countless rear end accidents and my guess is that the van was traveling 15 to 20 mph when it hit my truck. The damage to the van was extensive. A tow truck took the van away. My truck, as a result of having the Superbumper installed, sustained far less damage than the van and was drivable. And I'm confident that I did not suffer a whiplash injury because I had the Superbumper installed.I've included a picture of the front end of the van that hit my truck, and two pictures of the rear end of my truck. You'll see the damage that the Superbumper absorbed instead of my truck. The Superbumper company says that it will replace the Superbumper for free if it's ever damaged in a rear end accident. So I contacted the Superbumper Company and I was amazed when the owner himself quickly responded. He asked me to send a few photos and any documention to verify the accident. I sent the information immediately and the next day the Superbumper was Fed-ex'd to me with a tracking number. It doesn't get any better than that! Great product, Great company!!! Do yourself a favor: If you have a 2-inch receiver hitch on your vehicle, get a SUPERBUMPER. You'll be very happy that you did.

It was nice for a month, then the cheap plastic end caps popped off and it rusted through in a year and a half, the paint could be peeled off with your finger. Now it sits in my garage taking up space, can't drive around with a chunk of rust with paint peeling off on the back end of my GMC DENALI!Worth the money? NOWould I recommend it? NO

I admit I purchased my sparebumer directly from the website but I wanted to write in a review to say how awesome it is. The last snowstorm we had in New England my son got rear-ended at a red light. He has a few thousand dollars in bumper damage from about a 10 mph accident. Now he's getting one of these too. Let's face it, no one is paying attention anymore and everyone is on their phones!!! Bumpers are made to just crumple up too. I don't want to be without a sparebumper ever again.
