Virtual Cycle Rides DVD - Sunflower Fields - for Indoor Cycling, Treadmill and Running Workouts

When I started the DVD I saw three options and thought that there were three different rides so I chose the first one. Only after it had finished did I realize that I had played the complete hour-long video. I wondered why there were occasional breaks in the movie and they turned out to be the breaks between the three options. The birds singing and the scenery was nice but it would have been better if there had been more action, at least in one part of the video. I think there was one man and a few sheep during the whole hour. I was talking to myself by the end of the DVD. I would have liked real people waving or speaking as you rode by. I couldn't work up any real enthusiasm for the ride. I was waiting for something to happen. Maybe I chose the wrong video..... It was just nice......... Sorry

There was nothing I disliked. The photography is great. This DVD covers an area of the world in which I have never been. I have experienced many years of bicycle touring in Europe and now am only to do so virtually. It begins with coverage of vast sunflower fields, never a building or person to be seen. Most is on dirt 2-track and the sand under wheel (or foot) can almost be felt as one progresses through the ride (or walk.) The third segment takes the viewer into some fascinating areas.

All the Virtual Cycle rides really put you right into the landscape. The view is smooth - it doesn’t jolt with bumps or stop to let cars or people pass (I think that is edited out but the transition is seamless). They take you away from your mundane existence and drop you into places of natural beauty, interesting historical sights, or cities such as Rome and Delhi. I never look at my watch when using them - they hold my attention. For someone who could never ride more than 20 minutes and now goes an hour, this is amazing.

Beautifuly filmed town, but I miss sounds of teh people cars and all the other sounds of the city

I bought this DVD for my mom to help her lose weight on her exercise bike. It's a quaint, straightforward "ride" through the mountains. There is no coaching or regiment on this DVD - it's strictly just the sights and sounds of nature. I really like it a lot, as does my mom. This is a great program for an absolute beginner to exercise, as it creates a welcome, easy ride to get the muscles moving. People looking for a more intense workout should probably look elsewhere, but for beginners or the elderly this is a great product. Pop it in and you're off!

Their Crete video is very good. Much nice scener, but Athens is a disappointment. Much of the same modern city tourism attractions. Maybe there is nothing to see in Athens? I expected to see at least some ancient Greek ruins or at least something particularly Greek, but Athens only has modern structures like every other city if you watch THIS video. Boring and repeat views from different angels. Sorry, me no like.

I love this video, it helps me with my morning workout. The speed of the cycling is just perfect for me and the scenery is beautiful. Thank you.

Just okay. The music was distracting. I really like some of the other videos in the series though.

Erfüllt voll den Zweck

I have some of the other DVDs in this series and this one I like the least unfortunately. I don't like that it's music as the only background sound available (I turn the sound off). I much prefer the actual background noise of where they were cycling, no matter what it might be. Also, so much of the area seemed boring and like a big parking lot. Surely there is more to Athens. I did like when we finally biked along the coastline. Amsterdam is my favourite by the way.

Als video für Fahrradtouren finde ich die DVD nicht geeignet. Höchstens als Stadtbesichtigung mit Rad.

I really like this DVD. The scenery is great and I like that it has natural sounds, birds etc. Its the next best thing to being there. The speed is good for cycling workouts too. I love cycling outdoors but get bored doing indoor training, watching this DVD takes my mind off being bored and watching the clock. I find it really works.

DVD virtuelle Radtouren Madrid gefällt mir sehr gut. Fahre mein Fittness-bike mit dem DVD und die Musik macht die Tour noch effektiver und schöner. Bin begeistert und das Fahren macht richtig Spaß.
