Perfect fit under sink and water tastes excellent
This replaced an older system we had had for many many years and I was very impressed with how easy it was to install as well as the instant taste improvement from the old system we had. The Replacements for the filters were just installed a couple weeks ago after we've had this system for well over 2 years. The replacement of the filters was easy to do and I have never had any leaks from the time I installed to even after the replacement of the filters. Just follow the instructions pay attention to the details and you'll have the best water you've ever had. Also the quality of the water and its feel was surprisingly positive and we have never had our coffee taste as good especially since we are coffee snobs hahaha.

Great Taste, Less Filling…
Must have with well water that is both hard and has very high iron content! Easily fits under mud room sink providing kids with easy access to water without tracking through the house and I split the feed to the fridge for filtered water & ice (especially for our bourbon). Much better than the fridge filter which we were able to bypass, ice is now clear! Pictures 2 & 3 are stage #1, given our source I preemptively change stage #1 every three months. Stage #2 has noticeable color but no where near like stage #1 and only change every 6-months. Stage #3 has no color at all! Love the UV given our source but water is hotttt for first minute, haven’t sprung for it yet but the UV power supply triggered by use would be recommended and curious why it wasn’t an option with small up change with original purchase. While I’d consider myself handy I don’t do plumbing at all although this was easy to installed myself without issue! UV filter had a leak due to user error but customer service was excellent. I emailed and had a response with 24 hours with very detailed check list and asked for pictures to help diagnose but their check list solved… I had accidentally loosened the seal. Overall great filter and great company given product quality and customer support!

Misguiding representatives with poor quality water system
I had called customer service sales department of APEC last year to inquire about RO water systems due to a medical necessity that requires a very low PPM levels in drinking water. The sales agent provided misguided information regarding the PPM saying it will be less than 15 PPM for the ROES-PHUV75. Taking this advice given by APEC customer service sales agent our family purchased the ROES-PHUV75 through Amazon for a total amount of $340.17. However, we realized when we installed the system that the system was malfunctioning due to getting very high PPM rates and receiving FLUME notifications indicating there is 19 or more gallons of water wastage whenever the APEC water system was in use. We immediately contacted APEC customer service and received AI generated response via email that our request for a refund has been escalated to a team member since we did all the troubleshooting to resolve the issue and still the PPM levels were high and also the wastage of water drainage was never addressed by the APEC team although I had sent screen shots of the high PPM levels and FLUME notifications via email to APEC notifying in LA we are required to conserve water due to extreme droughts we go through. Water usage is strictly regulated by LADWP through the City's Emergency Water Conservation Plan Ordinance. Also, I had to call customer service multiple times since the customer service representative was repeatedly asking the same troubleshooting questions (3 times) when I had already answered the questions stating the troubleshooting didn’t resolve the issue of higher PPM nor the water wastage issue. And the customer service representative never offered a replacement given the facts of pictures and responses given of the malfunctioning system. It’s unfortunate to experience no resolution given to the customer. I had made an official complaint with Better Business Bureau.

Changed my life.
I've owned this system for about two years, and overall, it's been great. I've replaced the filters twice, and maintenance has been straightforward. My only complaint is the UV light. From what I understand, UV light needs a certain amount of contact time to effectively kill bacteria. If you're filling multiple water bottles or dispensing a large amount of water at once, the water passes through too quickly for the UV light to be as effective. It works better if you're only filling a single glass at a time. I think the design would be improved if the UV light were located inside the storage tank instead of just in the flow path. I live in Michigan and have well water that's very high in iron and other hard minerals. After installing this system, I also added a booster pump with a pressure regulator for my refrigerator's water line. The difference has been impressive. My ice cubes still have a slight haze in the very center, but the rest of the ice is crystal clear. As long as you stay on top of replacing the filters, I don't think you'll regret this purchase. Also want to add I still use the refrigerator filter that’s built in and I use two whole house water drop WHF21-PG 2 stage filters before the APEC system.

Makes your water taste CLEAN!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: The system is great. Installation is a little involved, and can be intimidating, but if you fully read the instructions and lay out all the materials, it's entirely doable. Make sure there's enough space, and a free outlet under your sink. Functionality: After install, whenever it's used it will drip water into the drain (and sound like the drain is running). This is NORMAL. If run for a while, the water can get HOT. This is because of the UV light. Again, normal.

Works as expected. Be sure to test for leak
Pros: Ease of Assembly: Assembly couldn't be simpler. Install faucet, assemble the UV light, connect feed, drain, and faucet lines and you're done. Well, almost (see below) Water tastes great: This is subjective. Instructions: Good documentation with detailed step-by-step instructions and lots of pictures Cons: Leaks: Pre-assembled RO filter cap leaked - No amount of tightening helped. I had to finally use some Teflon tape on the plastic thread to make it stop. This works, but I shouldn't have to "fix" something pre-assembled, and I shouldn't have to put Teflon tape on plastic threads.. L-connector leaked on the cap of RO filter. - Leak was slow. Turning the connection seemed to have stopped it. This worries me a bit. Stressed connection leaked - The push/pull lock system works for the most part, except for where the tubes make sharp turns right out of the connection (i.e. between 6th and 7th stage), the stressed connection leaked. Tugging on the connection seemed to stop it. I will be buying locking tabs to see if they help. Install process was no longer than 15 minutes. Leak fixes took over 2 hours. Makes me question the longevity of this unit. I will be investing in some battery-operated leak detectors to help monitor this.

So happy with my APEC RO system!
The public water system where I live provides water that tastes like what cat urine smells like. After years of lugging home gallons of bottled water from the grocery store, I’d finally had enough of that and decided to get serious about my overall and spinal health and did ALOT of research concerning a water purification system that I could install myself. This unit was purchased in August 2019 , so it was before the COVID-19 tragedy , but, I felt it was important to have a UV light as part of the system to kill viruses. Let me tell you, I am so GLAD I BOUGHT THIS APEC! As a proud do-it-yourselfer, I carefully read the instructions before I put it together and at the end of putting it together I called the customer service reps at APEC and they helped me make a few little changes that I had gotten wrong far as which tube went where. They were very nice to work with and took good care of me, making sure I had completed properly. If you really care about drinking quality excellent tasting water then you really need to consider buying the system. I don’t think you can go wrong with it. Also, I bought the water analyzer on Amazon to test the sedimentation in the water before and after I put the system in. Before I installed this a pack water system the public water had 110 parts of sediment particulate per million and now my water consistently reads between 7 an d 11 parts per million. I feel confident knowing the water coming out of my kitchen sink faucet is free from arsenic, methane, fluoride, nitrates, nitrates, E. coli, viruses, bacteria, and who knows what else. And it tastes WONDERFUL! Everything tastes better—- coffee , tea, etc. Safe now for cooking, washing vegetables, etc. And to think of all the money that I spent on bottled water! Truly, do yourself a favor, and buy one of these, you will not regret it.

Great system
Water tastes fantastic, so much better than bottled water. Filter replacement isn’t too difficult, but install and replacement won’t be easy for everyone. Make sure you follow the instructions. Get yourself a cheap TDS meter, i’m over 500 ppm on tap, low 20’s on RO with this system.
