For a millennium, war has raged between the United Earth Federation, the Cybran Nation and the Aeon Illuminate. Unwavering, dramatically opposing systems of belief have locked the three forces of humanity into a bitter, merciless conflict that has come to be known as the Infinite War. Now, after centuries of struggle, a war that has torn the galaxy asunder has finally reached a turning point. A leader has risen above all others, and only this Supreme Commander holds the key to ending the Infinite War once and for all. Supreme Commander for the Xbox 360 is a spectacular adaptation of the original, award-winning PC experience, updated and enhanced for Microsoft’s powerful console. The groundbreaking real-time strategy (RTS) game puts players in command of one of three factions – the United Earth Federation, the Cybran Nation or the Aeon Illuminate – that they must lead to victory and end the thousand-year Infinite War. Supreme Commander offers gameplay on an unprecedented scale, with hundreds of units waging war across gigantic maps and a revolutionary Strategic Zoom that allows for immediate viewing and control of entire armies. An easy, intuitive new console control scheme lets gamers dominate the battlefield as they play through one of the three vast campaigns or against players around the world on Xbox Live.

An amazing game, just horrible on Xbox360.
When you see several reviews that glorify a game to no end you can be wary if they are telling the truth or not. You can only tell if a review is being truthful if it overviews the game and tells about its flaws.I am on the same position as many other reviewers for this game has said about the glitches and bugs this game is plagued with. To manage to get any progress in a game you occasionally have to save and that risks the game screen to freeze and start flickering, or just go dark altogether. Also after prolonged play the game will start to fail loading unit textures, so eventually all your units can just turn into bland moving Grey blocks.Several contacts to Aspyr media about the game ended with no success, and it seems that Aspyr has no intentions of patching the bugs in this game... so just don't buy it. If you have a good gaming computer that has moderately good graphics, plenty of processing power, and RAM you should get this game for PC because it will make your life a whole lot better.I'm also one of the people that played Total Annihilation quite often and this game is a great modern reincarnation of it. You can still see the same style, can make hordes of units, make cannons that fire great distances, and giant experimental units. I enjoyed this game too much that I often deal with the Xbox360 bugs just to play it. Now since I have a better gaming PC I plan on getting it for PC. This game isn't crazy hard to learn and my advice would be to play a skirmish game against an easy AI and figure out how the game goes yourself and you'll learn to love it.So.. long story short... This game is very fun and entertaining... just sucks for the Xbox 360. Get this game for PC instead if your PC can handle it. I have played many RTS games ranging from the command and conquers, starcraft, warcraft, age of empires, empire earth. I feel Supreme Commander is really in a league of its own, it does share some qualities with other RTS games, but you just won't find another game just like it.

"Bigger maps. Larger armies. Lot of carnage."
Surpreme Commander (Xboc addition) was a blast from the past! Compared to it's more fast paced and up to date version, Surpreme Commander 2, this game brought back the thrill of commanding *massive* armies of land, naval, and air units with the sheer carnage that follows when two opposing armies clash in the middle of the huge maps that take time to traverse. This version of Surpreme Commander is of course more slow and not as fast paced as many RTS gamers of today would like but if given a try, many will find this to be a welcome challenge not just in fighting your opponent but also in managing your economy to keep things in the green.10/10 would recommend this game to anyone who loves to take their time, build complex bases that are hard to destroy and love having all out war with armies that outnumber the amount of units you can have normally in Surpreme Commander 2.

Great game
Great game when it first came out there were alot of people on and it wasnt hard to get a game,But due to game freezes and crashing also the developers not releasing a single patch to fix anything it was doomed to failure.I like to play it whenever i want to kill some time but with nobody playing it anymore im stuck playing against boring boring bots. The only reason i would recommend getting this on 360 would be your PC cant handle the PC version.

Fun game - actual strategy required
I come from the Command and Conquer era, and I will say this game is a step above that. The pieces follow a nice rock-scissors-paper hierarchy and the scope of the maps is such that you can choose the rush attack or turtle defense as you prefer. Fun game even though is it going on 8 years old now - lots of replay value.

Garbage
These types of games are not meant for consoles. They are meant for your PC. There was too much freezing, as if my xBox360 couldn't take the processing. Too many options. No wonder why there aren't as many of these type of games for console. If it was on PC, if would be a pretty good game, even though the Submarines weren't that effet against one enemy Submarine. It was as if they didn't know what to do even if you gave the command to attack.
