My boyfriend always insists on running my window ac unit when he sleeps over. Not only is it cold but it gives him sinus issues the following day. He finally told me it's the noise, he needs it to sleep. Immediately I began reading reviews on Amazon. I really liked the look of this sound machine and the light feature. It had good reviews so I decided to purchase it. Both of us got amazing sleep last night without the ac. He got up fewer times during the night and told me it was the best sleep he's gotten in a while. He's now wanting one for his house. I was impressed with the variety of sounds. I also enjoy using this machine when sleeping alone. I live in an old building and it helps cover up the building noise that sometimes bothers me well trying to fall asleep. Worth the money!!!

UPDATE: Contacted seller and sent a replacement. Received it in 3 days from writing initial review. Great customer service!---------‐----------‐---------------‐----------------‐---ordered this in August for our expected baby and it worked great until it stopped working. It hasn't even been 3 months .Yellow nightlight suddenly came on and would not turn off and none of the sounds worked anymore. Such a shame because it worked great for our baby and even our anxious dog who'd usually bark at every noise he heard outside.Giving 2 stars for unreliable product .

Honestly, so frustrated. Great little sound machine, can go pretty loud, plenty of sounds to choose from, nightlight is a great feature. However, the quality control is awful. I bought one and it worked for about 5 seconds and then completely stopped - all while it was plugged in. So I ordered a replacement. The replacement worked for a few days before it would randomly shut off - no we do not use the timer feature. Now it won’t turn on at all. So over it. Goodbye; will look elsewhere!

Update: I had two faulty units, which I returned for a full refund... but after my first not so great review, the manufacturer quickly reached out wanting to make it right, as my initial units were part of a bad batch. I was impressed with how quickly they acted to make it right, and received a new unit within a few days of the offer!The new unit has worked great, so far! My issue with the first unit i sent back was the cord, but this cord has a much better / tighter fit in the unit.. I noticed that difference right away!As per my initial review... I love the nightlight feature of this unit and my baby loves the sounds!

Edited 5/20/19:I had already bought a different branded white noise machine because I had given up on this particular device. I wrote my review and was done with it. But surprisingly a brand new one was sent to me without my requesting it. The seller had read my review and automatically sent me a new sound machine... and this one works!! I still prefer this one over my other device because of the soothing lights. The nice yellow light is so useful in the night when I have to adjust the baby or find the pacifier again. The alternating rainbow lights help calm the baby down as well in preparation for nap time. When this device works, it’s awesome! This is such a shame because I love the sleek design, I love the lighting functions, and I love the various sounds it produces. When it worked, it was the PERFECT white noise machine for my baby. And then it didn’t work. After... less than 3 weeks. I gave it another try, and the new replacement one came defective.First machine: worked fine for 2 weeks! Then I decided to buy some batteries (I bought exactly the batteries that the instructions said) and put them in to take on a trip. It immediately somehow fried the device. Once I stuck in the batteries, the yellow light surrounding the device came on and couldn’t be turned off. And all sound ceased. Which defeats the purpose of a white noise machine. And after I spent $13 on 2 batteries! These batteries are so strange... I don’t know any other device that takes them. They’re not your usual rechargeable batteries.Second machine: Got a replacement for the first one pretty quickly thanks to amazon. Decided to never put in the batteries to avoid frying the machine. Checked the volume: busted. The lowest volume is very very soft. Makes sense. Click the volume up button once? SUPER LOUD. And it only gets louder from there. Having had the luxury of owning the exact same device before it broke, I know this is not normal. I’m so frustrated. Really wishing I never put in batteries on my first device.

When it works, its is great, but it does not work regularly. Similar to other reviews, it stopped working when the unit was moved to another room. After that, it did not work in any outlet until a few days had passed and we tried again. However, at this time the white noise only stayed on for a short while. Perhaps it would work better if they had fewer features and made sure the basic white noise worked consistently. We'll be looking for a replacement.

***UPDATE***** the company reached out to help me with the things I was frustrated with. They totally sent me a new machine with a battery that I was able to use. The machine now has different volume levels and works great with the battery. I would totally buy this again based on how the company handled and corrected the issue as well as the machine isn’t the fix is incredibly awesome.Sound is nice but incredibly frustrating that I’ve had to already replace it once because it wouldn’t stay on and then the replacement you can’t use the battery option because the expensive batteries you have to purchase doesn’t actually fit in the sound machine!!! They made the measurements too tight for the battery. Not matter what we tried the battery will not go in.
