Q: Will these bags work with a weston 3500 series vacuum sealer?

I'm sorry, but no they won't. From your vacuum sealer's pictures, the bags that work with it are textured. These bags are plain and are made to work with a chamber vacuum sealer. I presently have a VacMaster VP210 Chamber Vacuum Sealer, which is about four times the cost of your Weston. I used to use one like that, but the seals on the bags failed more often than not, pulling things out of the freezer with freezer burn. Have only seen one time in the three years that I have owned the chamber sealer and my wife loves it. It's easier to use and she uses it all the time. We have three different sized bags and they will last us for years to come.

Q: Is the open end of the bag 6 or 8 inches in length? In other words, how deep is the bag before sealing?

The open end is 6". Its a little misleading, since you'll need some space for the seal bar. The bag is 6" wide, and I'd say you get about 7" of useable depth due to the seal bar.

Q: Why can’t this item be shipped to my location “96744” ???

Probably because you are not on the main land. Some companies won't ship to Hawaii.
