Do you pull straight out or twist. Getting mixed reviews on how to remove actual tick on web....

NEVER twist or apply anything (heat, alcohol, Vaseline, etc.) to the tick to try to get it to back out. Always grip tightly at skin and pull straight out. If the tick is stressed by twisting, etc. it will regurgitate ink the bite, which will greatly increase your chance of infection if it is carrying something. Don’t touch the tick (if possible) as the bacterium can be on its body under certain circumstances and always disinfect your hands and bite after removal.
