Rawlings Heart of The Hide

This Japanese tanned leather is the closest thing I can remember to the leather gloves of my youth in the 80's. It has a soft sueded surface, more matte, not plasticky feeling at all. Smells good and feels good. Be careful what conditioners you use on this leather as it tends to get splotchy - the lighter the better (if at all). Break-in is pretty fast for a Heart of the Hide. The deer tanned liner is the best interior I have felt, and I much prefer the molded wrist padding for hot summers over fur. The pattern plays smaller than the 12" size due to shorter fingers, however the hand stall itself is pretty big. Large hands would be no problem. For my small hands I tightened the wrist laces and it's no problem. Think of it as a larger interior with a smaller exterior.

High quality glove made from top of the line leather. It feels good on the hand and has that new leather smell. Shipped in a bag not a box so it could arrive bent. But overall the one I got was amazing and I think will break it great. Heart of the hide is definitely a nice glove.

Have become a huge fan of this Rawlings pattern. It combines the dual welting “open hand” feel of the A2000 with the tough leather, quality lacing, and long lived structural integrity of the Heart of the Hide models. Didn’t know if I was going to like this web design, but it is nice and open for fast transfer to throwing hand and I’ve come to love it. The color combo on this glove is also really nice looking without being too flashy.

This glove came exactly as promised, exactly on time.Rawlings seems to be getting more into multi color fashion, which I don't really appreciate, but the function and quality is still there. This is about the 10th Rawlings glove we have bought.

Doesnt get much more higher quality, in my experience. There's not a fiber of the leather that is broken in, it's unbelievably stiff, but a little lube, a sledge hammer, and some elbow grease, this is an heirloom glove.

Nice glove, comfortable. Quality seems constant with heart of the hide gloves. I’d buy again.

I love the glove, know it’s gonna work well, however they sent me the glove half broken in not the way I wanted it to. It’s too far to change the break in but it’s ok.
