Tessellation-Inspired Origami Box Designs: Elegant Boxes for Special Occasions

If you enjoy folding tesselations, you'll love folding these boxes. There's nothing revolutionary about the designs, but if you love the boxes and tesselations and would like something more useful to do with the 6" origami "doodles" you make, the adapted folding pattern to make the box top will be something you will enjoy. I even find the extra lines along the sides of the box tops aesthetically pleasing. Just make sure you're careful with your hand as oils or dirty will make them look grimy.

A wonderful book. The patterns are beautiful and inspired me to come up with my own variations. You do need to be patient and study the instructions at first. I also recommend using plain printer paper for your first attempts so you don't waste your good paper while you're learning.

Haven't had a chance to do any of the projects yet, but looked through the book thoroughly. These look like fun projects to make but will definitely take some time and practice. I was looking for some projects I could make for the kids I tutor, but I will need to perfect my technique first before I attempt to make a lot of them for the kids.

This is a great little book that’ll have you tesselating boxes in no time.

Ich falte sehr gerne Schachteln und bin nicht bange vor fremdsprachigen Origamibüchern. Dieses Buch erklärt die Faltungen gut und hat tolle Tesselation Ideen, aber es steigt doch manches mal über mein Können , über die Qualität des mir zur Verfügung stehenden Papieres.....Aber man wächst mit seinen (gesuchten) Aufgaben: ich bleibe dran und werde immer besser!

Totalmente mal diagramado e organizado para a versão eletrônica. O único lugar que dá pra dar zoom nas figuras é no celular. O aplicativo para windows não oferece essa opção. E no Kindle a visualização fica prejudicada por ser preto e branco e tb não poder dar zoom adequadamente.

Das Buch ist sehr anschaulich geschrieben, alle Anleitungen sind sehr gut nachvollziehbar und durch sehr gute Grafiken für die Grundfaltungen dargestellt. Ein minimales Manko sind die etwas blassen Fotos, wo man sich zunächst etwas mehr Zeit zum schauen nehmen muß, um die Endfaltungen zu erkennen. Das mindert aber die spannenden Tesselation-Varianten aber auf keinen Fall. Alles in allem ein sehr empfehlenswertes Buch für alle Origami-Fans, die es komplex mögen.
