A Funny Thriller
It's kinda funny because it's about an weird and awkward encounter between a guy and his deceased lover's family. It's a thriller because there is a tense and secret between them and the ending was unexpected.Would recommend it and I read because Xavier Dolan is making a movie based on this play.

Great read.
This was definitely an emotional journey but I enjoyed reading from start to finish. The film of the same name is one of my favourites.

Excellent Play
I had seen the movie at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts at the Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and was blown away at how powerful it was.

Mediocre
A mediocre play which does not work well in translation. Unfortunately, Bouchard still has to follow up Lillies with a worthy successor.

Psychologically thrilling, loved it.
I first heard about this story after hearing about Xavier Dolan's film of the same name. I decided to give it a read after watching the film. I feel like I got more out of the play than I did from the movie. The front cover image also grabbed me, such strong imagery. It's a rather short play, I read it in an hour, but it was well worth it.

An exceptionally important play.
Probably one the most important plays about homonormativity and the various violences that construct contemporary masculinity. The play's relevance is reflected in its numerous translations and productions all over the world. And while something is likely lost in its translation from its original Quebecois, Bouchard proves himself once again to be one of the greatest playwrights of our time. Brilliant, seductive, disturbing and simultaneously poignant.

Eirie and honest, a modern gay classic
Bouchard is both a poet and a story teller. He explores the weaknesses in submissive relationships, which is not a usual analysis. Vivid language and short scenes push the story forward.

Moving
Very moving story about love, loss and loneliness, and about the li(f)e some people feel forced to live just because they are “different“. I'm glad I came across this play, its author should be way more popular here in Europe as well (sadly, the topic of homophobia seems to be an up to date issue everywhere...). I recommend it!

Genial historia para una película excelente.
Ojalá sea traducido al español en algún momento, es un libro muy intrigante e interesante. Xavier Dolan lo adaptó al cine.
