Outstanding Product with Amazing Results.
I performed a ton of research before purchasing this product. I've completely re-roofed two previous RV's so this was the first time I just needed to re-coat one. I have a 40' pusher so based on other reviews I decided I needed 3 gallons. They arrived quickly but all three cans received damage in shipping. No worries as the cans are sealed with a plastic ring that isn't going to come off without serious effort. I started by taking my RV to a car wash with an RV bay and pressure washing it as clean as possible. Next I removed all the old lap sealant from everything and replaced all my vents. I then cleaned the roof one more time by hand using Simple Green and water. From previous experience I sealed all straight and squared edges with Eternabond tape and used new lap sealant around the plumbing vent, satellite and antenna. In final preparation I wiped down the roof one last time to remove any remaining debris and taped drop clothes around the edge of the RV. I used a disposable paint tray and started by rolling the edges with a 3" roller with a 1/2" nap. Heng's almost has the consistency of latex paint so it rolls on very smoothly. I then switched to a standard 9" roller and finished the first coat which took about 1 1/2 gallons. If you look carefully at the pictures you will see a small amount of black showing through after the first coat. I let it dry overnight and returned the next day to add a second coat which took an additional gallon plus. As you can see from the pictures it turned out amazing. After all was said and done I was left with about 1/4 of a gallon. Total prep time was probably 3-4 hours and applying the product took about 1.5 hours the first coat and 45 minutes the second. I simply can't say enough good things about this product, it completely exceeded my expectations. If you've been procrastinating like I was don't wait any longer.

Outstanding Product and Easy to Use
This was the first time I've ever coated my motorhome roof - wasn't sure what to expect. The factory coating was getting VERY thin, to a point where large patches of the black rubber roof were showing through. I washed the roof well with Dawn dishwashing liquid which did a remarkably good job of removing dirt and any grease - a lot of people like Tide powder detergent, but the Dawn dishwashing liquid worked really well. Soak the roof with water, squirt on the Dawn from the bottle, scrub with a brush, rinse well. Pre-wet the sides of your rig and keep them wet to avoid streaks. Once completely dry, I trimmed out the roof with a utility paint brush and rolled the balance. Took about an hour and a half to re-coat the roof. I can't believe how good it came out and how easy it was to work with the Heng's - excellent to work with and easy to clean up. I have a 33' Class A motorhome and 1 gallon was sufficient for one coat, although I was scraping the can for the last couple of square feet.. I used a second gallon for a second coat - probably wasn't needed because the first coat covered so well, but I tend to do things to a point of overkill. The roof looks factory fresh, brand new. Very highly recommend Heng's rubber roof coat for a very cost effective and easy to do RV roof re-coat.

Easy to work with, easy to clean up, and strong like bull.
I tore two holes in my camper roof, through the rubber sheet and digging in to the plywood. One was about 8 ft long and the other about 6 ft. I also had holes along the rounded edge of the roof. Yeah, bad news. Also, I did this on the very first trip with a brand new camper. I thought about dousing it in gasoline and lighting it on fire and claiming the insurance money and going back to tent camping, but instead, I did a lot of research and settled on trying EternaBond WB-4-50 WebSeal - 4" x 50' and Heng's Rubber to fix it instead. Spoiler Alert: This was a very good decision. The edges of the torn roofing were stretched and "frilly" so I cut the rubber off around the tear until it would lie flat, leaving 1-to-2-inch-wide-by-6-to-8-ft long gaping holes in the rubber. Following the manufacturer's instructions, I cleaned the rubber around the holes using Borax, a little water, and a scrub brush--it turned sterling white again! Then I cleaned up the plywood shreds for a good sticky seal. I cut 2-to-3-ft lengths of the WebSeal and followed the instructions for applying it using a Speedball Deluxe 4-Inch Hard Rubber Brayer . Boy oh boy does that stuff stick. Finally, since this the repair tape has a somewhat absorbent outer layer (not all of it does), I used a smooth paint roller with Heng's 461284 Rubber Roof Coating, and over three days put down three coats of rubber roof coating over the patches. We've had some crazy rain storms, and I've driven many highway miles since I did this. I've had no leaks and it looks the same as the day I finished the job. I used around 1/4 to 1/3 of the can to do 3 coats over roughly 30 sq ft, and will keep the rest handy to add another coat every year at the beginning of camping season. Heng's is easy to work with, easy to clean up with soapy water, and strong. This product probably saved me over $1000, which is what the RV place here in town wanted to patch the roof.

very good product
This stuff is very good. My Trailer Roof was in pretty bad shape. A good part of the white of the roof came off when I cleaned iy up . Was afraid this would never stick to the black rubber that was left. There was still a black residue no mater how much I cleaned the roof. Put the first coat on, let it sit over night. Next day it was dry, maybe a little tacky in spots, but dry enough to get a second coat on. Black was completely covered in two coats. Had enough to do all the trim one more time and most of the trailer a third time. Very easy to put on, prep is indeed the most important part. My only gripe is the one Gallon can I got was beat to hell. Dented all up and there was no handle on the can. Made it a little hard to carry the can around. I figured it was one that had been returned, read reviews about the handles coming off.

I had enough for four coats on a 24’ 5th wheel. Be sure to clean the roof extremely well. I did 3 different cleanings and it seems to be working great.

I would recommend this product to anyone that has a Rv that has a leaky roof. Ease of application is unbelievable. No different than applying a coat of paint. As in any paint job, its the preparation that is important and takes the time. The actual application of this product is just like painting. My 5th wheel is 31 feet long. Two gallons of this product gave me two coats with 2/3 of a gallon left over. Each coat took aprox 1 hour to apply. Prep was a different story. I used a power washer and than Tide detergent and elbow grease. I hand washed the entire roof with a scrub brush on my hands and knees. Took aprox two hours. Its only been three weeks since the application. Have had some rain in that period and so far, no leaks. Time will tell.
