Excalibur Do It Yourself Electric Food Slicer with Smooth Blade, 7.5-Inch, Red

Works great. I just got up last night's pot roast to make roast beef sandwiches for dinner tonight.

To be brief, the unit is pretty sturdy, only flexes a little, and is easy to clean. Unfortunately the blade was not sharpened very well at all. It was very rough as though they had just hit the wheel on some 30 grit sandpaper. You can see the lines in the picture. This wouldn’t do so I spent some time honing the edge down to my 6000 grit stone and put a razor edge on the wheel. It took fine and cuts like butter. I don’t know how it would have worked out of the box but I wasn’t cutting the cheese with a rough blade. Other than that I have no issues. The motor slows down a bit cutting through 4 inches wide of cheese but still keeps about 75% speed going. Not bad for 1/3 professional price.

Machine is hard to use. Nowhere for meat to go but on back of machine. No room for a plate to catch meat. Might as well use a knife

Unlike my other meat slicers I’ve owned. This one doesn’t open very wide for bigger cuts of meat. It has a stop. Works good though

It stay put during use, works well with everything we have tried to slice so far. Wish I would have bought this years ago. Used it with everything from beef stick/summer sausage to prime rib.
