How does cold seal work?

It's self adhesive, place your item in, peel off backing and seal down. These are exactly credit card size so if your item is too you will have to trim your item down so the edges will seal together.

Are these clear on back and front?

Yes they are, once you've peeled off the piece of retaining card

Can you use this product for laminating a photo ?

No to laminate anything you need a machine

Are they waterproof for use on plants outdoors

I can imagine they would be, but be careful where you punch a hole to tie it onto the plant. There is a part at the end that will take the hole punch without letting water into the label. I used mine to make name tags
