Sturdy, easy bolt up install, comes in a nice black textured finish, and they’re even labeled for which side (L or R) goes where.Tip: start bolting the left side first, since the ride side is where you can slide the crossbar. This allows you to slide to the width you need and easily secure it (I learned the hard way).

I just got in from the garage after installing on my 2014 CR-V. They’re pretty easy to install and appear to be of good quality. I have a 75 pound kayak I plan on hauling on these, and from my initial “test” of yanking back and forth, I think it’ll be ok because they don’t budge.A few pointers for fellow non-professional installers:The bars will not fit into the housings right away, you need to remove the screw and washersThe housings have bottom covers that pop off so you can tighten the screws, and then you put them back on before installation on the vehicleAs another reviewer says, install the left (drivers side) first.I partially installed the left side first so I could see how to position the right side. I then tightened down the bar on the right side for a perfect fit.The instructions don’t show what to do with the smaller black screw. That (apparently) attaches the bottom cover onto the housings.So these bars look to be of good quality and I’m confident I’ll be able to haul kayaks around with no problem. If things hit the fan later, I will update.

Don’t believe any bad reviews on here. They probably just didn’t understand how to install these correctly. I installed these on my crv and they were just slightly too short so I loosened the bolt and extended the bar a half inch to the perfect size and they are rock solid. Zero wind noise. Got up to 80 mph. Loaded a extra large Yakima on top with over 100 lbs worth of luggage, zero issues. The bolts are stainless steel and all you need is an Allen wrench. Just make sure to extend the bars to perfectly fit your vehicle and tighten securely. No need to spend more on others. Great product and great price.

I bought this product for my 2014 CRV. It arrived the next day and only took about 12 minutes to attach. for perfectly no modifications needed as some reviews indicated. The only took needed was the allen wrench that came with it. Instructions were included.

The crossbars were a perfect fit for our 2016 Honda Touring CR-V. Very pleased with this product...highly recommended! The slide adjustment was a little stiff when trying to extend the crossbars to to the proper length but was easily remedied by using the rubberized handle of my Stanley hammer to gently tap the underside of the mounting bracket until the bar was fully extended. The hex screws were also a bit tight going in and not helped by the small size of the Allen key furnished to tighten the screws...a multi-bit screwdriver fitted with an Allen bit would greatly simplify the screw insertion and cut the installation time in half. I experienced none of the hole alignment difficulties mentioned in the negative reviews whatsoever. If one keeps in mind the proper R - L orientation of the crossbars, the installation should be a snap.

The product itself seems of good quality but the installation instructions leave much to be desired, and the actual installation is cumbersome. The instructions do not detail the order in which pieces should be put together or what specific bolts (there are 3 different sizes) to use where. Granted it is mostly obvious which bolts to use where but why leave that to the consumer to determine. For me the two right (passenger side) attachments did not fully cover the openings on the roof rails. Both left a bit of the hole towards the back of the car uncovered. The bolts that held the end caps to the actual crossbar could not be fully tightened because then I could not get the plastic cover that goes under the end cap to snap into place. And doing the final tightening of the bolts into the crossbar on the right side was a pain.

High quality product. To install properly, I found that I had to place the cross bar into its position across the roof rails. Then, I stated the bolts just a couple threads, went to the other side and installed bolts about 4 threads, then back to side 1 and tightened to just "finger tight". Back to side 2, I fully tightened the bolts. Over to side 1, fully tightened those bolts. I did this for both front and rear cross bars.When I initially put the bars on, I tightened the front bar bolts on one side. This didn't work because I couldn't get one thread to start on the opposite side. Installing as I mentioned in previous paragraph worked great.This is really a great product and significant savings over the oem.

The holes on the plastic trim break on all 4 sides of the crossbar as I assemble and install onto my car but other than that no alignment issues. I just leave the plastic trim off.

Easy to install . Liked the rubber gaskets.Does not lock but not easy to steal.
