Activation code already used
Quicken indicated that the activation code included in my package had already been used. I saw minor signs that the disk may have been previously opened. Have to wait a week to receive a new disk with activation code. Hopefully it doesn't have the same issue. I've used quicken for more than 25 years. The software has more issues with each release. For instance, it wiped out all historical stock prices so I cannot accurately show investment performance and net worth beyond 5 years. The manual stock import mechanism (file upload) won't import prices before the year 2000. They still have not fully resolved high resolution screen issues. I can only see about 1/4th of the top menu, resolution is not correct when dragging to a second monitor. I have configured suggestions for high resolution monitors from Quicken. No other application seems to have these issues. The issues go on and on. The mechanism for downloading bank, credit card, and investment transactions works reasonably well. Most major, but not all financial institutions support it. If you aren't interested in downloads/subscription and want to maintain data manually, do not buy Quicken. They reserve about 20% of the horizontal screen real estate and a few lines of vertical real estate as advertisement for membership. They have refused to listen to customers upset about this. Quicken frees the space when you concede to their demands for a subscription.

Transition from Windows to Mac gone bad
Like everyone else I hate the idea of the annual renewal when you really don’t get any new features. I had to convert from quicken 2016 for Windows to the new version. Since I had to change versions I decided to move to to the Mac version. The transition has been nothing but smooth. After the transition I noticed afterlife the first download of my banking transactions that I was out of balance with my bank. After further investigation the software plugged my beginning balance from 4 years ago and I had duplicate transactions throughout the past years. I had to manually compare month by month to the original Windows version. This has been a consistent problem with Quicken whe. It was part of Intuit and I see it still exist. If I have this problem next year I am dropping the software for one of the alternatives such as Banktivity. Now I get to spend time with tech support to figure out why I a, still having problems reconciling the account. Hello India

The new Quicken not as good as past years!
I’ve been using Quicken. For 25 years. It’s not as accurate now as when Intuit owned the product. I don’t like that I HAVE TO UPGRADE EVERY YEAR as before I could hold off a couple of years before upgrading. I understand it’s expensive to produce every year but I still don’t like it! Nice that I can purchase the latest Quicken on Amazon. Saves $10 or more!

Transition was very smooth
Like other purchasers, I am unhappy to have to pay an annual subscription instead of purchasing a new version every three years or so. After about two months of using Quicken Deluxe 2019, however, I have decided that it's worth the price to still have Quicken with all its features, including the ability to download transactions. I can't speak to Tech Support, since I've had no need to use it. Installation went well, and all my files migrated to the new version seamlessly. I was able to install on both my desktop and laptop with absolutely no problems. I'm giving Q19 five stars because it still does what I need, at a reasonable price. It's worth $38 per year to still have this essential software doing the job for me.

Quicken 2019
I have used Quicken since the late 1990's. Quicken 2019 seems to have taken control of the program and won't allow me to use it as I have in the past and believe is the best way to PLAN and TRACK my FINANCES. The program has taken control of the Income and Bill reminders and doesn't just remind me. If this technology in progress, I don't want or need it.
