To bad the mount that goes to the camera shoe is plastic
The idea is great but unfortunately the mount base is plastic. I broke mine the first night. Wireless mic and light in the dirt. I bought a bar kind and it works great. Wise up Beach Tek. You could have a really good product there if you get rid of that cheap plastic.

Worst way to spend $50
Purchased this item last week, while using it for the first time last night the cheap plastic broke instantly at the base and sent my small HD monitor and seinheiser wireless mic reciever to the ground which both were also brand new items. This would be the greatest mount out if it wasn't made out of plastic!!

Great DSLR add on
The beachtek multi mount 5d is a nice, solid mount for your video accessories. I used it for a Tascam audio recoded, Rode video mic, and a video light. Sure it may be a little pricey, but it high quality and solid. Like most camerabitems, you get what you pay for
