This gas detector saved us thousands of dollars. After a "professional" leak detection service couldn't find our gas line leak, I bought this and filled our line with propane from the BBQ at 5psi for six hours and found it myself and was able to fix the leak without replacing our whole underground line (which is really long). The meter has a very cheap feeling plastic housing but comes in a nice case and the sensor clearly works well and the interface is easy to use. I recommend moving the sensor around slowly as it takes some time to respond and watch the meter rather than listening for the alarm (which is set default to 500ppm) and you can find and locate very small leaks far smaller than your nose could smell. Would buy again without hesitation, has also helped me find a tiny leak in an oven fitting.

I was impressed with how easy it was to pinpoint the location of our gas leak using this device. Way cheaper than paying a plumber or HVAC specialist to roam around my house searching for the leak. UPDATE: After not using it for a while, I turned it on and it was immediately detecting gas; it detected gas everywhere, even outside in fresh open air. I thought it was broken, and I even considered returning it, but I realized the "zero point" needed to be reset. If this happens to you, go outside to fresh air where you know there isn't any gas and long press the power button (the middle button) to open the options menu. Select "Gas Zero". This made my device work normally again; mine is still able to detect gas leaks well. Instructions about how to deal with this issue should have been prominently featured in the manual.

Descent piece of equipment. Works well but a little slow. Good if you have patience.

Working on an older gas stove, one day out of the blue, smoke/CO2 detectors start howling around the entire house. Come to realize the oven portion of the stove did not "light" but it was pouring gas in to the air. (Scary as hell). Anyway, shut off the gas valve behind stove, opened the entire house up (30 degrees out) and aired everything out. Searched online for a tool that I could use to help isolate the issue. This brand/version is more expensive because it has a LCD screen/digital meter to give "readings" as opposed to the 5 LED light version. Comes in a metal look case, easy to follow directions, works amazingly well. Feel 100% better now after using tool to find/fix the issue. Very happy. Pricey, but would recommend highly!

Jesus bless you! the unit i recieved is very precise locating the leak to the exact spot. it was helpful to find the leak, helpful to show the plumber where the leak was, and after the plumber attempted to fix the area it showed the leak was still present saving the plumber a return trip and everyone involved some time and trouble. something was wrong with the shut off valve, after replacing it the leak stopped, not once were any bubbles present with soapy water, only this tester located the leak you could move to sensor a few inches away from the spot and the reading would drop i ws suprized how well this worked one thing to mention is the instructions say "DO NOT CHARGE WITH UNIT POWERED ON" "DO NOT TURN ON UNIT WITH CHARGER ATTACHED"

**UPDATE** Now it looks like they're refusing to send the replacement. It should have arrived 3 days ago and it hasn't even shipped. Definitely shady behavior. I would avoid this seller and product if I were you. Look at the bad reviews on their other sensors and you'll see a common pattern. Seems like poor QA and poor customer service. It seems like others have had a good experience but I received one that was miscalibrated right out of the box. It immediately read in the 300s in a room with no gas. Took it outside and it was the same reading. It's supposed to come factory calibrated and dialed right-in, but mine wasn't. Not sure if it got bumped in shipping or was a used model (seemed new) but something was busted so had to return it. I hope the second unit I receive works properly.

This gas detector helped me zero in on a gas leak that the gas utility company initially did not find. They kept saying that they were not showing any leaks. Then I brought out this detector and showed them exactly where they were. Albeit the leaks were very small and did not present a significant danger. However having any excess gas in my house is not good for long term health issues. I had to hire a pipe fitter for inside issues but the gas co. is replacing the outside meter. Luckily the service tech from the gas co. was receptive of my findings and worked with me to get the problem resolved. Great gas detector!!!!

Good design…rechargeable and quite sensitive. Takes about a minute to warm up. The only thing I would have liked is a brighter display, since I use it outside sometimes. It does what it’s supposed to…a little disappointing to read the sensor has a limited life span (something like 4-5years).

Utilisation très facile, bonne protection dans le coffret. Je n'ai pas pu voir de résultat probant car l'achat a été effectué en prévention pour le chauffage au gaz de notre entrepôt.
