BEST EVER Cafetiere
Excellent product in every way. My canister did not arrive and COFFEE GATOR were quick to send me one. 10/10 for customer service.I have followed the coffee making suggestions which came with the product and the results are amazing. After using a large variety of cafetieres for a few decades, I didn't think I could learn anything new, but alas, the coffee IS better, smoother. The coffee remains very hot even after an hour. In terms of ability to hold heat, this is the best insulating cafetiere I have ever owned.I was also reluctant to buy an American product as my experience of coffee in the USA left a lot to be desired (I have been to the USA hundreds of times as I was an aircrew member for 30 years). It is robust and heavier than some other cafetieres but I do not mind that as I like the sturdy feel of it.Design wise, it is beautiful. I went for the very dark grey. Love the alligator logo. The Gator Cafetiere is an outstanding product. I know it will serve me for many years to come.

Coffee made as it should be!
Having decided instant coffee wasn’t for me any longer, I bought this on the strength that the filter jug looked sturdy, easy to clean and simple to use. And so it is! It comes with a neat little glass container with a metal lid to hold a small amount of coffee grounds. The first test was accidentally bashing the side on the tap on the way to the washing up water. Not a mark or a dint, thankfully but not to be advised!! It stands well and feels good in the hand, very well-balanced and easy to pour the coffee out with no drips in the saucer. The instructions were easy to understand although I did find finding the ideal water level a bit of a test (but the instructions say you should find the ideal settings to fit your own taste so that’s fair enough). The coffee tasted excellent and as I’d warmed the jug up prior to using it, the coffee stayed hot for two leisurely cups and a biscuit. The jug and filter were washed up without any drama. Very easy to clean and reassemble ready for the next time.Love this filter jug!!

It does what is says, produces great tasting coffee.
Thought I had left review, amazon yet to put it in, don't know why. So here it is. Arrived on time, despite delivery man dropping through side window to entrance way and hitting the floor 5 ft below, NO damage whatsoever, 1st surprise. 2nd suprise, opening box cafetiere looks as good as pictures suggest. 3rd surprise, once I put hot water in to warm metal inner, then put coffee in and waiting 3 mins, poured(nice smooth pour) into mug, lovely taste, hardly any sediment left, 2nd cup 25 mins. later, STILL hot, perfect, just the way I like it. Easy cleaned and ready for next mug. Sturdy, stylish, produces coffee the way it should do, hot and full of flavour. What more do you need? Highly recommend.

Great cafetiere but.....
This is a lovely cafetiere with a double filter - easy to use, keeps coffee hot, and looks good. Until now. After years of a stainless steel model I wanted to try this as it looks so smart in dark grey - it's tactile to hold and l loved the look of it but after one month of use (and careful cleaning) the coating is starting to come off at the base and I suspect that'll work its way up. So knocked one star off for that, otherwise an excellent piece of kit - but next time I'll go back to stainless steel, despite the fingerprint problem!

Gator is best value Cafetière out there
Gator cafetière, is well designed has a good weight and filter system appears faultless so far!Coffee keeps hot for well past the steeping time, haven’t tested heat retention as I drink coffee too quickly.Although the Gator brand is pricier than some - it’s definitely worth the extra cost as looks fabulous, holds up to 1ltr and so far appears very robust. Cleans very well although haven’t tried in dishwasher as am afraid logo will disappear. The free supplied pot, presumably for beans is way too small; however is made from solid glass with a metal and plastic lid.I would definitely recommend this filter press to any serious coffee lover. My coffee tastes every bit as good when compared to my neighbours very expensive well known brands! The process is a little longer on the brewing side and so much quieter. Coupled with a manual electronic hand frother, the Gator comes up trumps.

Top Quality
If you are a big coffee drinker it pays to invest and this cafetiere is well worth every penny. Beautifully made, satisfying weight and smooth in use it is impossible to fault any element of it. It makes the best coffee I have ever had at home when paired with a good quality medium/coarse ground coffee and while some may find the elaborate brewing instructions pretentious you will be amazed how much better your drink is for following them! The one aspect that really stands out is how it retains heat - cheaper cafetieres you are on a think line between wanting the coffee to seep, but knowing that it is getting colder by the second. This holds the heat so well that pouring the last cup half an hour after starting to brew it was still red hot.Only note of caution is that throughout the packaging and instructions it claims to be dishwasher safe. I have lost a previous, similar made, cafetiere this way so was surprised to read this - my advice would be to handwash in any case

Lovely stylish coffee jug
I chose this because I’m always breaking the glass French press jugs. This one is perfect, very stylish colour and shape and great value. Keeps the coffee hot for ages. Just great for four cups and pours well and obviously unbreakabke!

Satisfied with the quality and finish easy to clean and keeps the coffee Very hot.
Have been using it for over a year now, and quite satisfied with the quality and finish.Easy to clean and keeps the coffee Very hot.I pre-heat it with a bit of boiling water befor adding the coffee and water,Its a bit difficult to see the markings inside, but i use a scale to measure the coffee, so i leave it on the scale and add the water, for a perfect cup every time !

Go buy one.
I previously owned an insulated french press that I purchased many years ago from Starbucks. (I wanna say that I bought it like...8 years ago). anyway, it was time to retire the thing. The handle had broken off, it leaked, the plastic part of the lid had cracked in a way that made it rather dangerous to use. But, I was stubborn, and didn't want to get rid of it. I mean, that coffee pot was my longest relationship, how could I give it up!? But, finally, it was time. So I went on the search for a comparable replacement that could handle my 2-3 pots-per-day usage and wouldn't break. After some research and searching around town for something I liked, I stumbled across the Coffee Gator on Amazon. I'll admit, I immediately liked it because of the name. I mean, come on, Coffee Gator? It sounds cool.So I read some reviews, and finally decided to buy one.It arrived in the mail 2 days later and I opened it up, excited for my new kitchen toy. It was in a pretty box, packaged up all nice, and I immediately put it to work. And omg, it's amazing!!The double filter really does make a difference. (I was a little dubious about this before trying it out), and my coffee is more of a drink, and less of a 'snack' now. I had gotten used to having some grounds in my coffee, and didn't mind it, but gosh, it's nice to just drink coffee without stuff in it.It keeps the coffee about as hot as my old one did (in it's prime). So as far as that goes, I'd say it's about average compared to other insulated presses. (I also have a glass press that I use for tea, and that gets cold really quickly, so it's better than those for sure)The thing I like best about it, is that there are no plastic pieces to break off. The spout and handle are firmly attached (Welded?) to the pot, so they shouldn't come off. And the lid/plunger are metal as well. But not the kind of metal that makes your hands stink. I bought the gunmetal grey one, and just as a purely aesthetic comment, it's not as dark as it is in the Amazon pictures. Just fyi. It's still grey...but not really that dark. Which is fine. Oh, and it's not as heavy as it looks. I was expecting it to be pretty weighty, but it's not. It's not gonna give you a workout at 6am when you roll out of bed.So ya, bottom line, I couldn't be happier. I would absolutely purchase again if a tank ran over my current one and managed to break it. And I would absolutely recommend it to anyone that loves coffee. And they say it's expensive, but for any insulated press you're gonna get into pretty pricey territory, and this one certainly is worth it. 10/10 Thanks, Coffee Gator!!oh, and the little container that comes with it, is adorable. I'll never use it for coffee, but damn, it's cute.Edit:It's 2024 now. I have move across the country twice, gotten married, and still have my trusty Gator french press. I still use it at least once a day and it makes the coffee as wonderfully delicious as it did when I first bought it. I have changed the filters, washed it so much that the "gunmetal grey" came off and now it's solid silver. The ONLY thing that has broken was the top of the plunger, and that's only because it got dropped...hard. Right on its head.So yeah, go buy one. It's probably the best thing I've ever gotten on Amazon. Happy coffee drinking!!

Calidad y diseño a precio competitivo

Received a damaged item originally, Coffee Gator's amazing customer service replaced it!
Old review is below and pictures removed. Coffee Gator has completely taken care of my damaged unit and is sending a replacement. I suspect Amazon's QA let it slip through the cracks, and not Coffee Gator. I will update this review when I finally make some coffee- but this product deserves 5 stars alone just based on the customer service interactions. They make a quality product and stand by it 100%.=============================================================================================Possibly got an overstock Item, possibly preused. Mine arrived with many scratches and gouges in the paint, on both the French press and accessory stoage container. The box looked preopened.Design preference wise, the screen makes an unpleasant sound against the inside wall, probably not a functionally bad thing, just sounds bad. Also the paint feels like sandpaper, it feels unpleasant to touch. The pictures make it look smooth.I'm sure it functionally works well, many people here like it, and I bought it based on those reivews, just not the best QC. This could be an issue on Amazon's end and not the manufacturer.Despite the scratches and screen rubbing noise I'd probably keep it if the unit felt good to touch, which it doesn't, feels like sandpaper. They should make the paint similar to the Klean Kanteen bottles, thick and smooth, they could even make it matter finish instead of glossy.I really wanted to like this, but unfortunately I'll be returning this. I'm sure it makes good coffee though.
