Dog H2O CHD190 Replacement Filter Pump, Black

I had the old version of the Pet H2O fountain, the one with a different pump than the one here. It was prone to clog and after about 3 years of 24/7 use, it got pretty loud. I was hesitant to buy this because another reviewer had to "rig" this new pump style to work with his older version fountain.I rolled the dice and bought this anyway. Luckily the way its sold now it comes with a couple different adapters depending on the model of fountain you might have had. At any rate, it worked perfectly, and now the fountain is whisper quiet again.

I’ve been holding off on this replacement for a while due to a lot of mixed reviews how it’s “loud” and how bad it was... but my old 1st gen one was literally on its last leg so I had to change it... yes the design is different, but it’s really quiet and they both do the same thing... pump water lol... no complains at all...

I got this because the original filter that came with the Cat H2O got burned after 3 years. This filter was good at the beginning but then after two weeks, I found my cat thirsty and when I checked her fountain I found the filter not working and I tried to plug it in again and clean it but it didn't work!! Really disappointed!

This filter is better than the original and easier/faster to clean. The one that came with fountain is hard to get hairout that cycles through that fall into the water. This one is eady to wipe clean and seems stronger than the original.

Purchased a replacement for the cat sized bowl and for now I'll give it three stars for simply working. We really preferred the way the original one was designed with the power converter in the plug and the quick disconnect by the pump (if anyone knows where I can get one like that, please tell me). However we think we like that the pump is against the bottom of the bowl with the plastic nozzle extending up instead of against the top but time will tell if that's a better solution. This pump sounds grindy though, like it's already thinking about dying, straight out if the box but maybe we got a bad one. It's louder than the bubbling is when the house is quiet...
