Does NOT work with other zigbee compatible systems at present ...
Does NOT work with other zigbee compatible systems at present as the programmers @ Scout have chosen to use a proprietary zigbee stack. So- no Smartthings, and not Vera or the Lowes Iris. I may have gotten a defective one as there doesn't seem to be any magnetic attraction between the two halves. i don't know how a door/window sensor would work without this feature. Scout says that they are planing on their system working with Smartthings in the future- but that doesn't mean that their unique components will be cross compatible with ST without the Scout hub.Disappointing. Waited 6 months for this and back it goes.

... the battery size) but they are very responsive and easy to set up
A bit thick (due to the battery size) but they are very responsive and easy to set up. I used these in lieu of the door panels on all of my doors since they are a bit more discrete than the door panels are. These mount using a double sided tape that works decently but I've replaced the tape with a stronger 3M tape that I use for automotive emblems since it holds up to the temperature shifts on metal doors better.

Security components failed regularly, customer service unable to help, only partial refund given.
I had numerous problems with various pieces losing connectivity repeatedly. I contacted Scout support and they first told me the devices were probably too far away. That seemed unlikely since the devices were as little as 12' from the hub. Then Scout support told me that they had found a faulty battery issue and would send replacement batteries. I'm not sure when the faulty battery issue was discovered, but it was concerning that a security system had batteries that were dying less than 6 weeks after installing them.Unfortunately, that didn't solve the issue either. They offered to replace the hub or to allow me to return it for a full refund, waiving the restocking fee. After spending many, many hours trying to get this fixed, and being without a reliable security system for over 3 months, I opted to return the items. I was eventually given a refund for about 75% of my original purchase price. When I contacted Scout about this, they then told me it was out of their hands.I am very disappointed in the product, which is clearly not ready to use as a real home security solution, and in the customer service provided by Scout.

Easy setup but one sensor a bit erratic
Setup was easy, but one of the sensors I bought sometimes indicates incorrectly that the window is open.

Love my scout alarm
Love my scout alarm extra sensors are a must unless you live Ina tiny house. Works great but batteries don't last long. If batteries lasted more than 5 months i would give it 5 stars

I has worked no problem for the past 3 months. The stick strength is very strong. I'm not worried about it failing.

One Star
Don't believe the marketing info. Batteries last only a couple of months (even on windows that are never opened).
