Island GREEN Essentials Men's Golf Full Zip Waterproof Jacket

Nice jacket but had to go up a size as usual size was too snug.

I have a few Island Green items of clothing and like the brand. Read quite a few of the reviews of this jacket and the main area of concern from the reviews was the sizing. Went with XL and it's fits perfectly for me (6'.1" 236 lbs). After reading some of the reviews about the size chart, I was concerned it would be too small, but able room for layers underneath if you feel the cold. The arms might be short for some but I dont have a problem with this aspect, so ideal for me. Worn in the rain and remained dry. The droplets roll off as you would expect. If you can order on the try before you buy option then this might be the way to go if sizing is a concern.

At the time of writing, I haven't played in it yet but it feels comfortable going through the "swinging" motions so, we will have to see. I was keen to note the other comments made by buyers about the size and it being on the big size. Now I would normally go for an XXL and the size chart suggested as I am at the very "top end" of the XL sizes but I decided to go for the XL, and it fits really well, so I'm happy that I effectively went down a size. The other great feature that I did not appreciate is the internal cuffs inside the sleeves which are very comfortable, keeps the sleeves in place when in use and will, no doubt, be great in wet and windy weather. Update 19/09/23 - Have now used the jacket a few times playing golf and do now have to report that - for me - it did restrict my swing a little bit and perhaps I should have purchased the XXL as that would have given me a bit more room. However, I do stress that is probably because I'm a bit fatter than I should be and I did note in the earlier review that I knew that I was at the top end of the XL scale! On the positive side it is brilliantly waterproof so, no problems there and for normal wear fits great my planned solution is to purchase another one when I can afford it in XXL and I'll wear that for golfing and wear the XL for general wear/walking, etc.

I was looking for an inexpensive, lightweight jacket that I could use for both golf and normal everyday life and this certainly fits the bill. The quality is much better than I expected, there is a nice lining inside the sleeves (like a thermal sleeve) that is a nice touch and stops rain / cold getting in. The fit is great and ample room in the pockets. Very happy with the purchase

Good jacket, nice fit however…wore it on a day when rain was forecast but didn’t materialise. At the end of the round my shirt was absolutely soaked in sweat. Wasn’t a particularly warm day so can only assume the jacket isn’t breathable which is a shame. Cannot comment on its waterproof qualities.

The price is very good and delivery was super quick. The jacket is well designed and produced. The sleeves have additional lining that push through to the wrist to act as wind protectors and there is a velcro strap fixing to further secure. The main zip is solid an there is an internal strip inside to protect. The jacket is lightweight yet very effective in wind protection; as yet not tested in heavy rain. The 2XL sizing is good.

Really good rain coat for golfing and general outdoor things without breaking the bank. Only criticism would be the need to possibly go a size up just so you have room to swing those golf bats 🏌️‍♂️ I mean sizing is fine but if anything I find the arms maybe an inch or two short. I got the medium which is fine when wearing over the top of a Jersey or warmer layer but the arms do ride up in the golf swing. However for the price paid I can over look that very minor inconvenience because the jacket is water proof, wind proof and offers some good warmth insulation because of that. Nice jacket for wearing on and off the golf course. Once I've gotten through this coming winter 2020/2021 I'll post a follow up about whether its held up through winter or not. However right now is fine 🙌🏌️‍♂️⛳

Ordered for my husband. Yet to try it on the golf course but he has worn it for a walk. Lightweight, waterproof and comfortable. There is an adjustable cord at the hem which allows the jacket to be tightened to give a better fit. Good range of movement, albeit he hasn’t swung a club yet but he seems very happy with it. Arrived in good time and well packaged. Overall he is a happy man!

This jacket fits my rotunda 2xl size well. Good wind protection, warm but not hot. Great for golf.
