too bad. A slide with a snap would be better ...
I waited a few months before writing to see if any issues developed. Shortly after using it, the lasers became so dim you could hardly see them even at night. I discovered the cause a week later when the non-rechargeable batteries died. I put in new batteries and the lasers came back to life. If your batteries are getting low, there is not enough voltage to turn on the lasers. Put in new batteries! Pros: the mount is attached to the seatpost with a thumb-screw clamp and the taillight slides into the post clamp. I remove the light every time I leave the bike as I had the previous taillight stolen. It really is quite bright. Cons: AA batteries would improve the somewhat short life of the AAA batteries. You need a very small phillips-head screwdriver to change the batteries. So if they die on the road, too bad. A slide with a snap would be better and would allow a tool-less battery change. Pedalling does get in the way of the lasers. They need to be a little longer and set wider. It would be nice if the unit could be raised one foot to make the beams longer and wider. Overall rating; 4 stars. Basically I am quite pleased; just a few minor shortcomings. I would recommend this light.

Good bike light for the price.
After reviewing many rear bike light options, I decided to purchase this product. I am not a commuter and usually ride on the road during daylight hours, but I wanted to have additional visibility when riding. So far, this light has performed as expected. It is fairly easy to attach to a road bike. I have not had to replace the battery which came with the light, I've had the light for 4 months now, and use it 2-3 days a week on flashing mode. Also, I have not ridden the bike through a downpour or heavy rainstorm. If you are a commuter searching for light that is quick to remove on a daily basis, then expect to utilize an Allen wrench when you need to remove it. I cannot attest if the light is truly waterproof. It states it is waterproof in the title, but then water resistant in the description.Overall, if you are looking for an affordable light, then this light will serve its purpose. If you need a bike light which is quick to remove and definitely waterproof, I suggest continuing your search.

Works as advertised
The lasers work fine, the LEDs work fine. I have two issues:1. As battery power is depleted, when I have the LEDs in flash mode, the lasers dim somewhat when the LEDs flash ON. They don't go out completely but the lasers can appear to be flashing despite not being in flash mode.2. There is a flexible, removable gasket to seal the battery compartment. The gasket falls out when replacing the batteries and is a pain to replace. If you primarily want the laser side lines, I would advise that you use a separate LED light for your rear light and use this as a backup LED rear light. One more comment: I thought this would fit in the existing Planet Bike bracket on my seatpost. Not so. The light fell out when I went over some bumps. Examination revealed that it was not a good fit, so I added the bracket supplied with the laser/LED light.

Worth the money, but you *do* get what you pay for
The interior gasket for waterproofing is very flimsy and difficult to get properly into place when re-attaching the back after installing batteries. The Back has to be screwed down (no quick-release), but the three modes (steady/flash/chase) work well and are bright and visible. The two laser lines are a bit of a gimmick, but they work well and may well enhance visibility. The casing and mount are both a bit flimsy, but don't appear to be prone to abrupt failure for no reason. For those reasons, I give it 4 stars.

This is a neat rear light
The LED modes work great. Laser mode works as advertised. I bought two of these. On one of them the buttons don't work smoothly like the other, but overall works just fine. LED modes are bright. Laser mode is really just to look cool because you really don't see them unless you are up close. The battery compartment has a rubber gasket that did not really fit well, so I don't know how this light will hold up in wet conditions. I give this a 3-star because it works as advertised yet the quality could be better.

Good. Bracket Maybe Lacking but no problems yet.
Mine worked as advertised and installed no problem. I'm concerned that the mounting bracket will be easy to break. It is plastic and just about 3/8" thick. Clipping the light to the bracket and unclipping it I was careful to use two hands - should be fine for road bike but I would need a more robust bracket for a mountain bike or a bike that will get banged up on a rack etc. The lights are plenty bright and the lasers are cool.

Good tail light, just too large for my bike
This is a great tail light, it's just too big for my bike. You need a lot of seat post. I'm not able to angle it on the mount as I would like which sort of renders the bike path lasers useless since the path is below me and not behind me. I plan on attaching it to my backpack or strapping it to my daughters trailer for night rides.

Build is not the best I've seen but it does the job well
Unit is larger than it looks in the pictures. Build is not the best I've seen but it does the job well. I can see the clip portion wearing out or breaking if you're not careful but just be aware and it shouldn't be a problem. The LEDS are bright and certainly makes me very visible at night. Overall I am very happy with this product for the price.
