You only need one! Loved by thousands; from gym owners and elite athletes, to average gym rats. The DEAD WEDGE fits in your gym bag and saves you the precious energy needed to smash Personal Records. DEAD WEDGE is simple, superior to other solutions, and built to last a lifetime. Here's HOW IT WORKS: STEP #1: Roll inner plate up the ramp until it locks into the loading groove. STEP #2: Load or Unload to choose desired weight. STEP #3: Gripping the plates, firmly roll the plates out of the loading groove back down the ramp and onto the floor. Here's what makes the DEAD WEDGE the superior solution while remaining so simple: ONE: All the benefits of a deadlift jack, and much more. The DEAD WEDGE works on a larger array of exercises, and any barbell you can think of. While a barbell jack only works with straight barbells, on the floor, the DEAD WEDGE can work with specialty barbells like trap bars, and works perfectly on deficit deadlifts, block deadlifts, and more. The DEAD WEDGE is also LIGHT weight, PORTABLE, and doesn't take up room in your home gym, or gym bag. TWO: Far EASIER, QUICKER, and SAFER than rolling the barbell over any other objects like plates, blocks of wood, etc. We made sure to make the DEAD WEDGE the perfect size to keep it from interfering with loading the next plate. Unlike how odd objects get in the way; creating a hassle and constant readjusting. The DEAD WEDGE uses a loading groove that locks the plates firmly into place. This allows you to get up and change the plates throughout your workout without worrying about the bar falling off and rolling away, making it far easier to load and unload plates with both hands. This also allows you to comfortably use it on raised platforms like block deadlifts. *Dead Wedge is a registered trademark of LIFT, LLC. *Sold as a single unit

You need this. You just do.
This is the most ingenious thing. You're going to think, "I don't need that. How hard is it to just pick the bar up slightly and put the plates on? How hard is it to just use a 2.5lb plate instead?"My friend, you are wrong. Give in to your lazy self. You're on this page for a reason. You want this. And I'm here to tell you that you need it. It's flawless. It does exactly what you want it to do: it ever so slightly raises the plates to make unloading and loading a breeze. It is lightweight. It fits in your bag. It's orange, so all the other gym goers will see it, mentally call you lazy, and then go home and think "...do I need that? Maybe I do need that." And soon you will all have dead wedges and you'll be dead wedge bros. You'll make friends. Your gym crush will see your new confidence and your multiple plate deadlift and think that maybe he or she needs a mate who works smarter, not harder. You will be the inventor of the wheel among a gym of cave men.Go buy it already.

IT ONLY COMES WITH ONE WEDGE!
I did not realize it was just one until I received the product. I went and looked at the description, and it does say it is just one, but it is at the very bottom of the description. All the other brands sell them as a set, so it is a little deceiving. They also say "all you need is one"... I found that quite laughable. This is a convenience product, and they are trying to tell me it's okay that it will be less convenient than the competitors? Insane. The whole point is to make your life as easy as possible when you are moving around 500+ lbs. I don't want to be moving it back and forth. The product itself is well made, but you'll probably wanna pick up two. I wish that would have been a little clearer when I was comparing prices.

Good as a Last Resort …
While my gym has a bar jack for changing plates, I have been to several that do not. Changing plates on a deadlift bar without any type of lifting mechanism is miserable/annoying and can lead to unintentional injury. The DEAD WEDGE is a convenient tool to have on hand if a jack is not optional, but it’s convenience is limited to the number of plates you have on the bar.I am lucky to have a family member with the space and resources necessary to build a solid all-around gym during this quarantine mess. In constructing this personal gym, we have added numerous tools to accommodate just about everything imaginable to cover any facet of powerlifting/bodybuilding training. In order to avoid unnecessary clutter and conserve space, we added a pair of DEAD WEDGES to the gym. Two were bought (they are sold individually) so plates could be changed on each end simultaneously. The simple premise of the wedge is roll the inner plate up the wedge ramp into its “plate groove” and provide enough of a lift to allow the outer plates to slide off without having to lift the bar end to do so. While the idea is simple and somewhat effective, the more same-size plates you add to the bar makes it more difficult to use, especially if you are loading/unloading multiple 45 lb. plates to accommodate significant weight variances between/among lifters. When you get to 4-5+ 45lb plates on each side, a trial-and-error method is necessary to roll the bar up the ramp and not “overrun” the ramp. The lift provided by the wedge is much lower than a jack provides, so there is a tendency for plates to “scuff” the floor when removing then.Honestly, while the DEAD WEDGES do offer a space saving benefit, we are probably going to opt for a bar jack and just keep the wedges as a gym bag extra for emergency purposes.

Awesome product with some inherent limitations
This is a great time and energy saver for anyone loading up multiple plates on their deadlifts or olympic lifts. I love that it is orange (highly visible) and it seems to be made of high-quality material that will hold up for years. I have a home gym now but wished I had this in college as its easy to pack into a gym bag and take with you to the gym.Just remember that you still need to struggle to get that first plate on and last plate off - the wedge will only help you with every plate after the first. To get around this problem I load my first plate on each sleeve while the bar is on the rack and then move the bar down onto my platform. Then I roll it onto the wedge and load up additional plates. When I'm done I use the wedge to take off all but the last plate and then rack the bar to remove the final plate. This way I am always able to conveniently add/remove weight. My process won't work for everyone's setup so just be conscious when buying that the wedge will not remove 100% of the inconvenience surrounding adding weight to a bar that is on the ground.

Love it!
The dead wedge is awesome! If you’re working with heavy weight on the platform, it makes it much easier to add plates. You only need one wedge because you can add all the needed plates one side at a time.Using the wedge is very easy and intuitive. Quick tip: When you’re approaching very high numbers, it’s better to put the wedge near the outermost plate.Overall, the wedge has been durable and is an everyday carry in my gym bag!

They work
Recently got a Rogue TB-2 and noticed these in a youtube video demonstrating form for trap bar exercises. After my first time trying to get plates on the TB-2 while it's still on the ground, I immediately realized the benefits these would offer. Ordered a set and have been 100% satisfied with them. These don't help with the first plate but every subsequent plate is infinitely easier to add or remove.I expect these work equally well on olympic bars but I don't use mine for cleans or powerlifting stuff so I have no firsthand experience. However, just from having had a homegym for years now, it should be valuable as an olympic bar on the ground is less awkward to move than the TB-2.

A great training bag accessory.
Very handy if you are working out in a limited space or don't have access to a deadlifting jack.

Lifesaver.
Can’t believe I went this long without getting one! Makes loading and unloading weight plates a breeze. No more risks of back injuries from doing the plate slip off jig. Sure you can get a barbell jack, but this is way more portable.
