The Big Book of Birds

My son and daughter love these books. They enjoy looking at the beautiful illustrations and they also love having the books read to them. I like the fact that they teach them about the world around them at the same time.

This book has the most beautiful illustrations and interesting facts innit. Our 5 year old loves reading it and loves finding the hidden item on each page. I'd highly recommend the other books in this series too.

Great book my grandchild loved the birds in it

I can not get enough of 'The Big Book of...' they are all fantastic. Wonderful facts wrapped in fantastic illustrations. They are suitable for all ages and are books that you would keep coming back to.

Had to purchase as my Son fell in love with it when we borrowed it from the library! It is really lovely and he still enjoys reading it. As you would expect, the book itself is a large hardback.

We have all of the Big Books and they are all well made and informative. The artwork is beautiful and engaging while there are plenty of facts added in without overloading them. Brilliant books.

I have a grandson who loves birds and has conventional bird books but this gives him loads of facts in a different way. It is more of a read and the pictures are very good.

The book content itself is beautiful, with amazing illustrations. However the pages are poorly printed resulting in titles on most pages slightly cut off, as well as bit white and block coloured sections at the bottom of most pages. Some pages are shorter at the bottom. Bought as a gift so disappointed that it is not very well made

My daughters (4 and 6) LOVE this book. The illustrations are colorful and fun to look at, and the pages are packed with interesting facts without overloading my kids with too much information. Even I have learned new and interesting facts about different birds. My girls also love finding the hidden eggs in the pages. I highly recommend this book!

This book was the best Christmas present for my 7 year old. She reads it day and night and we get to hear loads of bird facts. The pictures are also beautiful!

The book is amazing. It begins with explaining the different types of birds - prey, forest and grassland birds, garden birds etc. it’s a wonderful book to introduce birds to kids. Birds are clubbed together - for instance flightless birds, and beautiful illustrations along with information about its habitat, food preferences, etc are shared. It’s not a detailed account of each type of bird - you are better off buying a picture book if that’s what you are looking for. My 4.5 year old loves this book. I did pick and chose the information I shared with him when I stared reading the book but that is primarily to not overwhelm him. A few reads later - we now read the book cover to cover :)
