Prusament Prusa Galaxy Black, PLA Filament 1.75mm 1kg Spool (2.2 lbs), Diameter Tolerance +/- 0.02mm

This is BY FAR my favorite filament I've purchased thus far (Galaxy Black). I've already gone through two spools of this stuff and I've only been 3D printing for a few months. This stuff just prints with absolutely no issues at all. Love it! I am using this on my Prusa i3 MK3S, with the default Prusament PLA filament profile (215C nozzle, 60C bed). Most of my stuff was printed at 0.2mm layer height with the default PrusaSlicer settings. Pros: *This stuff HIDES LAYER LINES! Did I mention it hides layer lines? I mean, even at 0.20mm layer height, the tiny glitter particles masks the layer lines incredibly well. *I've had very good success with this filament. Never had issues with jamming, or problems with the PLA containing too much moisture right out of the bag. I've had issues with other brands! *Prusa goes to every extent to make their products extremely precise. You can measure the filament diameter for yourself and you will see that not a lot of other filaments are as precise as this stuff. They even have a report of the diameter of your exact filament as it was being wound onto the spool. Simply scan the QR code on the side of the spool and it will give you the report! What other filament brand does that? *I have never seen a more beautifully wound spool of filament than the Prusament brand. When you open the vacuum sealed bag (which is reusable by the way!), you will notice how perfect the filament is wound up. If you've ever had a print get ruined because the filament spool getting tangled, then you know how frustrating this can be. Not something you have to worry about with the Prusament brand. For people with OCD like me, you will love the winding of this filament! It's perfect! Cons: *This stuff is expensive! At $30 bucks a spool, this is more expensive than most other PLA you can purchase on Amazon. *At times (when sold out) this stuff can be very difficult to get your hands on. I usually order 2 spools at a time since when they are sold out, it can take up to a month or more before Amazon receives another shipment of Prusament brand filaments directly from Prusa himself. They have a pretty small filament production line, so when it's out, it takes a little while for them to ship more pallets to Amazon from the Czech Republic. Overall: I love this stuff. It's a huge upgrade from the silver stuff that came with my printer and I think what makes it stand above all of the other filaments I've used is how well it can hide layer lines. I love this stuff and would highly recommend it. Only bad thing about it is how quickly I run out of this stuff!

Printed a couple things with this now. When used as a first layer (with an alternate layer after that), it can be translucent. However, when it is on top, it is a nice, opaque finish with glitter to finish. When I used as a first layer, it didn't stick as well when I used default PLA temp settings (210 C), but when I upped the temp to 220, it stuck very well. One thing I noticed was that it really doesn't string - it's quite nice in comparison to many other options. It seemed to have quite good layer adhesion (I even swapped filaments between brands in a print and this stuck really well). It also "hid" layer lines with the little glitter it has. All in all, it is a solid, high-end filament. I don't know that it's a great value, given how good the "cheap" filaments have gotten, but this will remain something I keep around for those more important or more difficult prints. Just be sure to print a little hot... :)

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised though. I have a Prusa MK3S and am very pleased with the reliability and quality that it routinely prints. I decided to try Prusament Galaxy Black to see how well the filament works, even though it is expensive compared to other PLA filaments. First, I didn't expect the embedded silver flecks, but honestly it is a very attractive effect, Second, I expected the filament to print well and I wasn't disappointed. I cranked the fineness/thinness to the minimum allowed by the printer (0.05mm) and printed a set of very fine-toothed gears. The filament performed spectacularly. One minor concession I needed when I wanted very fine prints is that I needed to print a little slower, but that can be expected for cooling and less smearing on very fine prints. In summary, the filament is as good as it claims, at least in my opinion. It is a little pricey and depending upon what you intend to use it for, the higher quality may be wasted. I would buy it again though.

While this filament is on the more expensive side it is absolutely worth it! This filament prints perfectly for me out of an Ender 5 with minimal adjustment (I just set the print temp). The filament prints very accurately and has not warped in any of my prints, spool is wound well and I have not experienced any jamming. The finish of this filament is really what makes it worth it. The printed filament has an overall opaque dark grey color, with an elegant glimmer. The glitter effect in the filament is executed very well and is subtle enough to not look like a children's arts and crafts project, but present enough to provide an eye-pleasing shimmer when turning pieces over in the hand. I will definitely be buying more of this filament when it is back in stock

Let me just start out by saying that Prusament is probably one of the best filament brands on the market. It's got consistent quality, and when combined with PrusaSlicer's premade profiles it is nearly effortless to get perfect prints. In addition, I'm really fond of the Galaxy Black color and I think it works well with a lot of projects. There is a bit of a markup from this seller, as you can purchase this directly from Prusa3D for about $30 + $10 in shipping. You do receive the product much faster, so it really comes down to whether or not you care about the convenience or not. If you are not in immediate need of this filament, or you are buying multiple rolls at once, I would recommend going through the manufacturer directly. Otherwise, if this is just a one-off purchase, then the extra cost may not be such a big deal to you to get it faster.

El color es increíble, es todo lo que puedes esperar de filamento prusa, muy buena calidad, y los resultados realmente me sorprendieron, encontré que la tempertura perfecta ronda 215° en cuanto a la cama tuve que elevarla hasta los 70° ya que sufrí varios desprendimientos de la pieza,

高っ！っと 思った。 輸入品なので高いのは仕方ないでけど 使って見て感動した。 PLAなので当たり前ですが、一切反らない。 積層も綺麗に見える というのもラメが効いてるのか 積層がパッと見みえないし 単純に見栄えがいい。

いままで十数ブランドのフィラメントを使ってきましたが、トップクラスの安定性です。なにより巻きがきれいで、リール端からきれいに巻かれています。ここまできれいな巻きは他で見たことがありません。(ちなみに一番ひどかったのは中華でなくMUT〇H純正) そのおかげか出力も安定しています。 Galaxy BlackやGalaxy Purpleというラメの入った色も、適度に積層が目立たなくなって良いです。Jet Blackも半艶なのでテカテカした安っぽさがなくて、これもいいですね。 とにかく品質については文句のつけようがありません。価格も純正の割にお手頃なのが良いですね。 リールも分解できるので、廃棄も比較的しやすいです。 唯一の難点としては、輸入品ゆえに在庫切れが割とあることです。1年間ウォッチしていますが、一度在庫が切れると再入荷までに1.5か月くらいかかることがありました。なので今では2か月分ほどストックするようにしてます。 あとは色が増えるともっといいんですけど、もっと売れないと難しいでしょうね。 いずれにせよPrusa2台持ちなので今後も買い続けます。
