Credit Card Size Fresnel Lens Fire Starter and Magnifier Lenses (3 Pack - Red)

I forgot to take my readers at least twice and since these fit in my wallet, I always have a backup to read. I have also used one to start a fire just to see if I could. It worked very well for both.

These are wonderful to keep in your wallet or purse just in case you forget your reading glasses.

These came with a sleeve, but the magnifiers are so thin, they slip out of the sleeve when kept in my pack where they can jostle around. They work as magnifiers, though it would be nice if they were a little more rigid. Credit card size is too small to light paper on fire directly, but it's enough to start an ember, which you can blow into flame with tinder.Good price, so could make a fun party favor or stocking stuffer.

Super convenient

The lense is plastic so it weoghs nothings and even with the sleeve, it fits in the wallet nicelyThere's that weird plastic smell tho. Aside from that nothing to complain 👍

Tried starting a fire with it while camping out to see if it could be an option as a backup for fire starting, but without success (I tried various easily flamable things like ranger bands, paracord, wood shavings, cotton balls, lint) . Will try again during summer time, maybe fall sun was not powerful enough. Other than that the lens works as advertised, though store it in its protective sleeve as it scratches super easily and that affects severely its magnifying effectiveness.

Perfect as a backup Firestarter for the survivalist.

I put it in my wallet and use it at the store to read tiny nutrional information on labels. I also gave the other 2 as gifts to friends.
