Don't be afraid to order this, glad I did.
I always read reviews before I order things. I read the reviews on this carefully and decided the negative feedback might not apply to me. Years ago I had a rebok slide and loved it. I used it often and over the years it degraded. So 20 years later I'm looking at another Chicago winter where I need a good indoor workout to supplement my spin bike. I remembered the slide and lo and behold here's one reasonably priced on Amazon, shipped and sold by them so if it doesn't work out I can return it.First it came in one day, probably just lucky where I live. Yes it wants to curl because it's been stored in a box, so role it the other way to store it or fold it over for storage so you don't need to roll it. The bag and booties are good and the slide itself is very slick. It needs to be slick or you can't slide. Now, if you have animals, dog hair, floor dust etc., you need to be careful not to transfer this to the board with your booties or by rolling it up. Keep it clean it should stay slick.I am a 5'5" female, 59 years old and very fit. If the board were any more narrow it'd be too narrow. If it were any longer I would probably have difficulty getting myself from one side to the other. A little push off and arm movement is needed, you can lift and twist a knee and get a good ab workout. This is an excellent workout for legs, specifically inner thigh, excellent core, balance and cardio. I recall it will not work well on carpet, so some kind of hard surface is really needed. So I got 45 minutes in on it within an hour of it showing up at the house. Ice storm outside. Very pleased with the purchase, and I will update if I encounter any negative issues.UPDATE: After using this just two times it became difficult to slide. I washed the board and rinsed out the booties and was really surprised how much dust accumulated. Anyway, I have a simple solution to getting the board "like new." Take a piece of waxed paper and rub it on the slide and on the bootie bottoms. Use the bootie bottoms to move the waxed paper. Then very CAREFULLY begin sliding again, super slick. If you've been pushing hard to navigate the entire less slick board, just know the waxed paper will make it "like new" slick again and you won't need to push off as hard to get to the other side. Still very happy in Chicago with another indoor workout option. It's still stupid cold here.

Despite the negative reviews, so far this is exactly what I was looking for.
My SPRI Slide Board arrived yesterday evening.I opened the box this morning and found a neatly packaged product. Everything seems to be well made.I first unrolled the product onto a carpeted area. As expected, because this product has been manufactured and shipped rolled-up, so it wanted to curl. I reverse-rolled it to take out the curl. It then laid flat.I put on the supplied booties over my street shoes and started to slide. It's very slick. It didn't perform well on the carpet because the slide material is fairly thin and tended to sink into the carpet because of my body weight, making my slides awkward.I then moved the slide board to a tiled surface. The underside of the board has an anti-slip material that works well. As I began sliding on the tiled floor, everything came into place. Sliding was effortless. The board didn't move as I exercised. When I ordered this board, I was concerned that a six-foot long board would not be long enough, but after my first exercise, six feet seems to be just about right for my 5'9" frame.I think I'm gonna love this.**UPDATE** April 20, 2020Following multiple uses I can say that this product continues to perform well, and the interesting thing is, by modifying my movements a bit, I transformed my workout into a perfect bump skiing workout. If you watch the many slide board YouTube videos, you'll see that everyone crouches down bent at the waist, keeping their feet apart, and their heads centered between their legs. To go into bump-skiing mode, stand up tall, hands in front, and as you slide, leave your head centered exactly in the center of the board. Instead of keeping your feet apart, bring your feet together as you slide, bending at the ankles so that you're in a crouch (with your upper body still erect) with your feet together as you reach the end of the board. This is perfect bump-skiing form and will kick your *ss is a very short time.Another note: I keep a bottle of Pledge furniture polish with this board, and do a quick "dusting" prior to each workout. It keeps the board super slick.I am delighted with this purchase.

Great so far
I can't speak on durability over time but I've used 2x and it's a great workout. You may be surprised how quickly you tire. The quality is really nice for the cost. Doesn't feel flimsy. Comes with a nice drawstring bag. I definitely feel it in my thighs after using it a few minutes. I tried it on carpet and it's does work but will not stay put on rugs so, as instructed, use on bare floor. On a rug it will shift left or right and you'll find yourself trying to re-adjust it over and over. It has a pad underneath that's sort of like gripping shelf liner that works well to keep the mat in 1 place with minor to no sliding around on bare floor.

A great little workout while watching TV
I love having this at home. It's positioned behind one of the loveseats in the theater room; that way I can watch TV while spending 20-30 minutes on my slide board. There is a learning curve to it, but if you are patient and give it five minutes you will learn how hard to push off from each side so that you hit the other side but not too hard. It's a great workout for the side of your leg where your hamstring meets your quad, and gets your heart rate up. If you squat a little (the "skating" stance), it works your glutes & calves, and works your quads more. I've even felt it a bit in the obliques during longer sessions. For the price I paid (which seems to be lower than the current price; perhaps I lucked out and got it on a lightning deal), it was more than worth it. And I haven't had any issues with not being able to glide easily on it.
