The artist should take pictures of men and women on death row on state and federal level and put out a book. It is awful that the people we elect can decide to kill people or not. their in a cell not hurting anyone. I think there is only a handful of countries do that. That is the true horror. Not the subjection of women.

Amy Gelb, in her introduction to As Is, beautifully writes about her journey which led to her project of photographing women’s bodies. Her sensitivity, attention to detail, understanding of women and their body images all shine through in this work of art.After seeing the photographs, it was fascinating to read what each person wrote about how she felt about her body throughout her life and while being photographed for this project.I believe As Is will help women see themselves differently. It certainly did that for me!

I really enjoyed this book. I am a photographer and work with all shapes and sizes. It is very refreshing to see bodies represented in their natural state. Well done. A very worthy add to my collection.

Every women has a story, every picture tell us one.This books takes you on an artistic journey In the lives of women everywhere. It is a lesson on acceptance, judgement, and the power of femininity.

Gets to the heart of the issue - Acceptance is important. Please note that the book I received was missing pages 57 to 64. No evidence of damage to the book. This was a printing error. Seller accepted the book back but did not have another copy to sell.
