GameStop Multi-Tap Multiple Player Game PS2 PSone Compatible

At first only player 1 on the multitap was working, the memory card wouldn't read, and I was getting really mad. But I kept trying. It turned out that I hadn't fully plugged it in. The dual-plug seemed like it was fully plugged in when it really wasn't; I had to push the dual-plug into both of the PS2 slots with more force than I initially expected. Same with the controller slots on the multitap. Also, the PS2 can only read the memory card that's plugged into the multitap (if the multitap is fully plugged in). So all of that put together probably explains some of the confusion and negative reviews. But yes, it works as advertised on my fat PS2 (not sure if it works on the slim PS2). Hope this is helpful to all the epic gamers out there.

Works perfectly for my slim PS2 on the second slot. The memory card could not be registered as the first slot when inserted into the multitap in the first slot. This product is great for slim PS2s if you only need 5 players.

Feel like it should have been cheaper. However, it works wonderfully. I had forgotten that a PS2 only had 2 spots and had gotten a 4 player game I used to play on xBOX when I was younger. This saved the day.

If you're looking for great times with multiplayer on PS2, then this is the thing for you. Unlike the Sony brand multitap, this GameStop one can be connected to both fat and slim PS2's (I have a slim). Have had no problems with it and works nicely.

I would not recommend. I paid over $50 for this product and it is garbage. Only controller port "A" works and if I have the memory stick plugged in, my Playstation 2 won't turn on. Plus on the plastic that encased the multi tap was a price tag for $19.99. So on top of it not working I got ripped off. Highly dissatisfied...
