Easy to set up, works well, can see the pizza delivery guy easily now
I’ve been thinking of installing an independent camera at the front of the house but then I don’t like the idea of having a camera visible for every one to see. So I always forget about it. One of my neighbours suggested getting a door bell camera. I look on the internet and found they are expensive and usually no different to each other. This one looked like the other slightly bulkier but for the price I was not worried about the size. It’s going to be fixed. So I had installed for two days. Which was easy enough. I don’t really need to read the instructions. The bell comes with a UK converter plug. Which is a small down side. But I am glad they provided one. The camera in itself is quite good. It works in the dark which I loved. J ordered a pizza the other day and I could see the person who delivered it. The batteries that came were not rechargeable but I have the batteries already. They are 18650’s. I know they will last a good amount of time. You do get the fixing in the box which is always a bonus. The bell is pretty loud. I have fitted in the middle of the house in the hall way and can hear it from the bathroom which on the other side. Main point, it’s good value. I am sure there are other options but this does the job, it looks cool. Now I can see front of the house comfortably.

*** Warning **** Dont bother buying this cam bell
Bought this due to reading reviews. First opportunity I had to try and get it going. The inial setup fell over and was not able to go beyond the setup stages. Made further 4 attempts to setup with same result setup failure. I Have fibre broadband situated 3ft away from the offending item. Too time consuming with negative outcome. I am unable to review product further, such as night vision and motion detection or anything else to due defective item. My advise pay a little more and get a decent doorbell cam. Update. I did contact the seller who asked about the fault. I emailed the seller with the fault and snapshots of the error messeges. The seller did not bother getting back to me with diagnosis. Minus 1 star and that beong generous WARNING stay away from this doorbell

Very Impressed!
I've seen this type of doorbell advertised on the TV for some time now, and fancied trying one, but not at the price of the ones I see advertised! I came across this doorbell, and it looked so similar I decided to try it. I was very impressed! There are a couple of minor hiccups I came across, but very easily sorted so I will let you know about those as I go along to make it even easier to set up. I unboxed the camera and was impressed with the finish and quality of the products, every bit as good as the more expensive brands. Slightly taken by surprise when the batteries went in and it started saying 'ready to pair' immediately- this will stop within a couple of minutes (as you need to charge it before pairing) as I was starting to wonder how long it would go on for whilst charging, but all good there! In the mean time I downloaded the app on to mu iPhone from the App Store- it is called AnyHome. Don't be put off that the app graphic is not in English on the App Store, the app will be English when you download it so again no different to a more expensive version. When I went to pair it, I thought it was not working on my phone, as I entered the WiFi password as instructed, turned the volume up as instructed, but nothing happened. I checked the status of the router (it needs 2.4ghz as it does not work with 5ghz, but most modern routers do both) which was fine, so went back in to the app. Lo and behold, there was a tone playing repeatedly from the app now, and having pressed the doorbell and set it into search mode again, it instantly paired successfully. So- if you don't hear it playing a tone when it says 'searching for wifi' come out of the app (don't close it, just come out), and go back in and it should start playing. I could see myself on my phone from the camera in front of me as soon as I had set it up. I am incredibly impressed with the ease of set up and quality of the picture (and volume of the door bells etc- really nice and clear). Really super easy to use, feels and looks very good quality. I like the fact it clips nicely into a frame that you mount on the door, and it is rechargeable with the enclosed USB cable. I would definitely recommend this video door bell, as it seems every bit as good as the more expensive brands as far as looks and functionality are concerned.

Doesn't like heavy rain! Worked well for 1 month, but bad weather ruined the microphone...
*UPDATE 20/6/19: The microphone has stopped working! About 1 week ago, the weather in Birmingham (UK) turned very bad and there was heavy rainfall. Roads were partially flooded. I tested the doorbell a day ago and it no longer picks up any sound via the microphone, instead there is a distorted fuzzy sound coming from it like radio interference. My conclusion is that it is not fully waterproof. Upon opening the back cover, I noticed small droplets of water had got inside it. Since the front case is vented to allow audio into the microphone, I assume water got into it there as well. The camera still works fine, but the microphone is kaput. So, not waterproof in very bad weather...* *Update 4/6/19: Two things I've learnt. An alarm should sound when the doorbell is removed from its backplate but this doesn't happen for me. Also, pressing the doorbell's button makes a very loud ding-dong sound on the doorbell itself which cannot be reduced in volume.* I have this installed on my side entrance door, which is situated along a short passage beside my driveway which is in a blind spot for the 4 Samsung CCTVs I have installed on my property. I used my drill on the 4 screws provided to fix its backplate straight into the wood. The video quality is not as good as my IP Cameras so it'll only pick up in detail faces that are under approximately 1 metre away from it. Photo 1 is an HD (720p) snapshot at daytime, Photo 2 and 3 the same but on SD (640 x 360). With my phone connected to our home Wi-Fi which the doorbell is also connected to (Sky Home Broadband), it rings my phone instantly after pressing the button. The audio quality of the doorbell's microphone is excellent. I tested it on myself and my voice sounded super-clear - it's a premium quality voice call, basically. There's no mic gain on the doorbell, but I could increase the voice volume by simply increasing the call volume on my smartphone (Samsung A6) or putting it on speakerphone and increasing the media volume. However, the person ideally needs to speak very near to the doorbell to pick up their voice, otherwise it will be difficult to hear. The App - 'Anyhome' (see Photo 6) - is easy to use once you're familiarised with it. All self-explanatory. To initially set it up, you need to give the app permission to access 'Location' and have your Location turned on. After putting in your Wi-Fi details, it emits a dial-up-modem type noise which you play to the Doorbell, allowing it to connect to the same Wi-Fi. Strange why it is rated 2.2* on the Play Store as I don't have any problems with the App at all, after some teething issues in setting it up. The night vision is very good and very clear. See the photos, Photo 4 is on HD mode with the IR LEDs on, and Photo 5 is the same but on SD quality. I have yet to test how long the batteries last, but the battery life is shown on the App (currently full for me after fully charging them beforehand). I have not tested the PIR function which has 3 sensitivity levels in the App, and I'm not even sure what triggering it does, i.e. does it record live video or ring my phone. I'll update this review shortly when I've tested it. The downsides I've mentioned are only enough to lose it half a star. The reason why another half / full star is lost is that literally the only thing securing the doorbell to its backplate, other than 4 little 'slot-in' brackets which only serve to hold it, is one small screw on the bottom (see Photo 8)! I have no idea if people steal doorbells or whether this will become a more common thing with expensive ones, but I'd expect it to have at least 4 screws clamping it to its backplate. Overall, as a video doorbell, it transmits voice clearly, rings my phone quickly (not tried when out and using 4G yet), and the HD video shows faces in enough detail at a near distance. But as a security device, it's not fantastic as it can be stolen using a bit of force (or a screwdriver) and I do not get an alert on my phone when I have removed it from its backplate. I will update this review after I've tested the PIR function and the Cloud storage which it says it has, as this would make it at least identify a thief who steals the device. Overall, I was expecting a bit more for £60 (should be around £45), so a solid 3.5*s.

Good Budget Video Doorbell
I have recently moved into a new build, it came without a doorbell, I almost bought a bog standard doorbell, but for a little bit more money you can buy one of these with video functionality, seemed like a no-brainer. Installation was a bit of a dilemma, I didn't want to drill into the brickwork and molding around the door frame meant I had to find an alternative location, I decided to attach the unit to the door using strong double sided mounting tape, which has worked well. Once the mounting bracket was in place, I fitted the batteries supplied and charged them via USB, I also installed the AnyHome app from the Apple App Store, which was easy using the QR code on the box. Once the batteries were fully charged I fitted the doorbell to the mounting bracket and secured it with the small screw supplied. After connecting the doorbell to my WiFi, there was the acid test, does it work? yes, it does. When the button is pressed the doorbell unit itself chimes, it's quite loud, I am yet to find a way to either turn it off or reduce the volume. After a short delay, you receive an alert on your phone telling you that someone has rung the bell, you can click the message which opens the app and you can view the caller and by pressing the chat button on the app allows you to converse with the person at the door. The sound quality isn't brilliant, but it's good enough to understand what the person wants. The video quality is good, it looks very sharp on my iPhone, even in SD mode. The doorbell also has a PIR sensor built in which will start recording when someone or something triggers it, the video clips last for 8 seconds, but even on the lowest setting, I have received the occasional false alarm, when viewing the video footage there is no none there. At night you can turn on the infrared night vision, you can't see much distance, but people within close range of the door can be seen very easily. The App is OK, I think a few changes could be made to make it a little more user-friendly, but after a little while, I became fully accustomed to the app and it becomes easy to use. To record video I opted to use the free cloud storage which can be turned on and off via the app, at least that way if someone steals the doorbell I can still access the video of the light-fingered bandit. Overall, it's a good budget video doorbell, it looks good, it's easy to setup and the video quality is pretty good.

Work's Great
I’ve always wanted to buy the RING brand smart doorbell, but that is very pricy. I decided to give this a try . . . The result is pretty surprising. The setup with this doorbell is fairly easy you just install the specific app on your phone and installation process is pretty straight through. The quality of this camera during the day is very good for 720p and at night it is just as good as the day time. The instructions are very well written and detailed and easy to follow, the app works great and calls when needed, I haven't received any false alarms since I installed it. How It Works: When the button is pressed a notification will then pops up and you can then see who is at your door and chat to them through your iPhone or Android. You can store your photos and video clips on a micro sd card but it does not need to as you can store to your phone as well. My Pro's * Good installation, Easy to install. * High-quality camera & Weatherproof * Has a wide 170° wide viewing angled lens * The appearance is great. * The voice is very clear * You will never miss a parcel * Good solid product * Low power consumption * Has a micro SD card socket * Good Infrared Night vision * 18650 Battery Included * Has the option to leave a message for it to be viewed by you later * It has thermal infrared so will notify your smartphone when someone is approaching. * If the doorbell is stolen it will notify you that the doorbell has been removed * It comes with easy to install bracket with 2 screws My Con's * Sometimes there can be a slight delay before it becomes connected depending on where I am and if there is slow Internet or low connection rate. * Didn't come with 3m sticky back Overall I'm very satisfied with my purchase, much cheaper than some of the big brand that does exactly the same. . . I would definitely recommend this video doorbell, as it seems every bit as good as the more expensive brands :)

I would love to know what App you are using
I purchased this off the countless reviews that it was good. Funny because when you get it and you get the app to run it the app is a 2 star complaints a mile long. So if you can't get the app to function you are left with what? a doorbell. A very expensive doorbell. I charged it up never got passed the password. The app asked for a device name, and password and non mainland china ok did all that soon as I clicked next it would refresh a stock image of someones living room. Then it would come up Wrong password. Boggled I uninstalled it restarted everything and reset it up again. Wouldn't you know still Wrong password. I just created the password and created the name of the item and I click next and wrong password. Right look online for help. None to be given. So save yourself the time and hassle DO NOT WASTE your money on this go get a better door cam. My lesson is learn to look for actual people that review this instead of prepaid actors.

Easy to set up
This is an easy to set up video doorbell. The unit is wireless, so no need for any drilling through walls / windows and the chime unit is included in the price. The unit comes with batteries, however when they run out you may want to replace with rechargeable. The type of battery is 18650. The video is 720p, which on a small mobile screen is fine. It is not standard we are used to on our TVs, but it is more than adequate for the purpose. Even at night the caller is clearly visible. Sound is good, clear and the volume is more than adequate. App is easy to download from the Play Store, and is relatively straightforward to use. There is a slight delay on establishing the video connection, but it is literally a second or so. Waterproofing I can’t comment on as the unit is protected by the portico. However, I have no reason to think that the unit would not cope with the British climate. Overall, a nice unit that seems well priced for what you get. The setup is simple and whilst the footage it generates isn’t of a Hollywood standard it is more than good enough to see who is calling.

Efficace

Molto insoddisfatto
