Dido & Aeneas (Mark Morris Dance Group)

The kind of uplifting camp we expect from Mr Morris. I was delighted with the recording until it stopped short of completion by about 10 minutes.

The dance is the focus, and singing is sidelined. As a dance there is much to admire, but it's not the opera.

Wonderful dance, imagination and harmony, grace and power, music divine.
