BAOYOUNI Plant Stand Tension Rod, 3 Trays&1 Arm Adjustable Ivory

I've recently moved into an apartment with big beautiful south facing windows, with nice deep sills just begging for plants. Most of my plants are in 6" pots (more or less) and are tropical varieties that want lots of sun (I'm in the mid-atlantic so sun is at a bit of a premium). They're very tall windows, though, so just plopping plants on the sills was getting crowded fast. Enter this tension pole! I'm renting, and very interested in temporary/non-impactful solutions to decorating problems, so a tension pole is excellent. Some of the reviews gave me pause about it's construction or assembly, but those concerns were for naught. It went together easily with no tools needed. My windows sills are 80"h, so I purchased the tallest version and left a section out. It took a little trial and error to get it to just the right height to go into the opening nicely and have a strong hold, but still, it was up in just a few minutes. Adding the trays also took some trial and error, but again, not rocket science. I weighed my plants before I put them up (most of them were watered a few days ago, so they aren't at their heaviest or their lightest). The heaviest one was about 1400 grams. The shelves literally did not care about the weight at all. I've no concerns about putting them up freshly watered. The remarks in these reviews about aesthetics are totally reasonable. I'm not sure how this could have been manufactured with nicer materials at this price point, so I'm not fussed over it. I really want my plants to be what people are looking at anyhow, so the fact that it isn't super sexy doesn't bother me. I bought the white one so it would blend into the white painted frames of my windows, and it worked out. I'm extremely happy with the overall look, if the item itself isn't the best ever. I've got a second one on the way, since I have two identical windows and I see no reason not to fill both windows with this very cool plant stand.

I love this thing! I am new to caring for plants and didn't realize how little sunlight my window ledge received. I also didn't realize when I bought my golden pothos that it would start growing long and was distressed when its leaves started hitting the floor of my kitchen. Now, my little guys are getting all the light they need and have space to grow unrestricted. Set up was easy and the directions were well written and clear. Pictures helped a lot too! I accidentally bought the largest one which I did not need because silly me forgot to consider the ledge and not the floor when thinking about the length I needed. Luckily, I was able to just leave one of the poles out and when putting it together to achieve an appropriate length (talk about dodging a bullet!). I find the unit to be very sturdy and my plants look great in my window now! I highly recommend it. I just wish I could add more shelves to it so that I can put more plants!

This is a basic, but well-designed unit that does everything I need it to (put a few plants near the window with minimal space). I took off a star because it should come with acorn nuts to cover the end of the screws that secure the plant shelf and hook mounts to the pole, and because I would like more/better finish options, even if they are just simulated (i.e., plastic that looks like bronze, stainless, brushed nickel, etc.). It's sturdy for the price, and in terms of functionally, it's 5 stars, but the lack of acorn nuts to cover the end of the bolts and the lack of better looking finish/brackets make this a still very solid 4 star product. (For the acorn nuts, I had to use four of my own treasured M6 Stainless acorn nuts). Also, despite what some of the other reviews say, the directions are more than clear enough , and it's not hard to figure out how it goes together without directions, just make sure you have the pole with the hook mounts on it oriented properly. I put mine up quickly and had this part of the pole upside down initially, so I had to uninstall the pole and reverse this section. But the directions are fine, so maybe they were cryptic before and the seller redid the directions, idk. Great value for the price, so if you're ok with the simple look, or you have a plan to jazz up the pole and cover the brackets with real or artificial vines (which I'll probably do), you'll be very happy with this.

Has been up for a few months and is holding my plants well! I was concerned the hanging feature might not hold up because I was going to put a heavy hanging dirt filled planter on it, but it has held up SO well. It’s unbelievably sturdy and high quality! Worth every cent!! It’s phenomenal for me because I have a small apartment and needed more vertical space and I can’t put up shelves. (My plants were taking over my floor and windows) Might be the best purchase I’ve ever made on Amazon. It was relatively easy to assemble. If ur an ikea furniture pro, this will be no problem for you. If you can’t put up ikea furniture… phone a friend (and then reward them with a cutting from one of your plants). If you are thinking about buying it… just do it, you’re not gonna regret it!

I must say I read so many reviews saying it is so easy to install. Not for me. The instructions was useless. I had to just power through it installing from my floor to ceiling was an even bigger task tightening up the hanging shelves another tedious process but after the blood sweat 😓 and tears. It was worth the hassle. Love my unique plant 🪴 stand. And it’s definitely a show stopper.

I guess I was expecting more. It seems sturdy enough, but it just looks cheap and a bit ugly in my opinion. Planning to have large enough plants growing on it soon so that it’s mostly covered. Assembly is easy and the spring loaded tensioner is nice because one can move it from place to place very easily to find the fight spot.

I am guilty of not reviewing often but I felt compelled to after building this plant stand. I read the reviews complaining about how difficult it was to put together and I have to say it really wasn’t. I looked at the pictures provided in the directions and figured it out in about 15 minutes. I will say it was harder to line up the screw when attaching the plates as some of the holes didn’t line up right. In the end I got it together without the need of any extra tools. I’m very happy with my purchase as I needed it for my window and it fit perfectly and is sturdy.

A great idea. It was easy to assemble and works perfectly. Now for my plants to grow!

Great product, I have ordered multiple of them. It holds without a problem one or two heavy planters along with smaller ones, careful not to overcharge it though. It saves space, do not collect dust, round shelves can be easily removed if you want to wash them, they are very ease to shift up or down the pole.

Love this, it’s a little short for traditional ceiling heights so I improvised the base but with the additional arms purchased this is a fantastic and sturdy clothing rack (I modified the plant concept). The plant supports are great for hats, clothing accessories.

Almost gave up putting this together and from reading various reviews I can only surmise that they vary in ease of assembly. There is an insert in one of the pole sections that has to pop out as you attach the parts of the pole and ours required gentle tapping with a mallet in order to get them together properly. Even then there was a bit of wrangling to get the insert to come up out of the pole so the top section could be attached. Those that thought assembly was easy definitely didn't have a kit like ours. However, after wrangling with it I am pleased with the results. It seems sturdy and looks nice. Also important to note - when you are putting on the plant holders you have to tip the plant platform upwards toward the pole in order for the screw to be lined up properly and go through. I see some people have said they had to redrill the holes because they don't line up properly but they will when tipped up toward the pole. Once the screw is almost tight, tip the plant platform back down into position. Better instructions are needed!!! They were pretty useless.

This plant pole /stand is perfect if limited space or not wanting to damage walls or ceilings with hooks. Allows for more plants in less space 😉
