These are some of the only large thread threaded inserts on the market. I have ordered many threaded inserts in 1/4, 5/16, and 3/8” threads over the years, but larger sizes are difficult to find. It’s not that the bolt strength is necessarily insufficient for smaller threads, but there are numerous applications where one might need larger threaded receivers for bolts. For me, it was an unusually large flange opening that necessitated a bolt around 1/2” - 3/4”. These were the largest inserts I could find to inset into a wood base. I guarantee these would strip out if you approached anywhere near the torque limits on a solid M12 bolt, but for light duty applications they are great.

This solid oak armoire easily weighs in excess of 300 pounds. With four levelers, it now stands up straight for the first time in years.

Have a outdoor cooking table that since being on a patio had the slight drain. This allows leveling the table as well as lifting it enough to get the feet out of water

I wanted to install M12-sized leveling feet on a new, wood workbench - these did the trick.
