If you have already read the reviews and are still questioning if this is a product worth your investment, just stop. Purchase them. Before I even received them in the mail I had an email from the customer service department letting me know I could reach out if I had any issues at all. Pretty impressive since I have 2 day Prime shipping. Package is straightforward with very clear instructions on how to replace. A simple flat screwdriver is all you need for replacement, although I would recommend having a rubber mallet or an extra shoe to help bump off the old ones (mine were original from 2000 and pretty much stuck on). All said the install took me 10 minutes. 8 minutes of which was trying to figure out how to hold the gate up once I removed the old ones (It is fairly heavy, and you want to be VERY careful not to let it fall shut or the glass will shatter). I finally put a chair behind the bumper, put one foot on the bumper, one on the chair, and used my back to hold the gate while installing the new supports. The gate with these struts lifts much higher than stock, so you might want to spend a couple minutes in setup considering how to accomplish your support (A friend would be the easiest method). As I mentioned, the installation of the actual struts could probably be done in under a minute for both of them if you had a friend to hold the gate. You just make sure you use the screwdriver to lightly lift a retainer, and slip these struts on. Final result is very nice. You actually make your rear cargo area more usable due to the ease of loading (you could use a forklift to load once these are on). The gate lift smoothly and closes securely. No more cold mornings when the gate won't stay open while you are trying to load up. As others mentioned, if you are shorter you might consider a rope pull to assist you in closing. I am 6'2" and find it great. My wife is 5'0" and looks like the State Farm commercial where the lady is jumping for the dollar at the end of a fishing line "Oops...almost had it". Overall....a great product at a great price with easy installation and great results. Definitely a must have update for all Excursions.

Easy to install and repair was successful

Replaced struts for my 2008 Scion TC. Easy install, instructions were provided. Have lasted and have no issues. Been about a year since I purchased them. Would reccomend to others who need to replace theirs.

Installed these on my 2014 Prius and they work very well. Great replacement!

Great fit easy to use

Support struts on our Grand Caravan were starting to lose gas and on cold mornings the power lifter couldn't open or close the lift hatch. But worked on warm days and nights. I haven't seen any difference between the old and the new, maybe it just needs to break in. Currently it seems to be more sluggish than the old struts. I will post an update if things improve or get worse. I'm just a little concerned on the body side. The head that holds it is tiny compared to the original equipment. It's only about 60% of the size of the original equipment. I'm concerned that it might be a failure point, especially in the hot Southwest Summers with the plastic becoming brittle. When changing out the struts on a liftgate for a minivan you will need a second person or a adjustable support to hold up the hatch while inserting the new strut. Do one side at a time. I've attached some photos. It's hard to see the size difference at the body mount because they're not side by side.

Ultra poor quality. I installed them, they performed worst than the worn out original ones. The clips used to attach the strut to the ball joints are too flimsy and just waiting to pop out of place. Another A li Xp ress item!

Strut popped off by itself and the retaining clip disappeared.... i asked for a replacement (not even the whole thing) and they offered %10 off the replacement cost of the whole thing..... This is a $0.25 part that they wouldnt replace. I would have even paid a portion for a replacement but 10% off a new order (not including shipping) is a joke.

I was concerned before ordering this replacement since the boot door of the NISMO is very heavy. Replacing these Trunk Gas Shocks worked very nicely. Good product,
