A nice alternative to Anabel Karmel's book full of good advice.
This book is quite quick to read and is full of good advice on how to wean. It has alternatives for spoon fed and baby led styles of weaning and encourages using both and listening / watching to what your baby prefers. It also has good advice for fussy eaters or reluctant eaters which is very reassuring. It has a really useful table of foods and what their health benefits are as well as advising certain foods to stay away from (such as swordfish because of the mercury content). This table links to recipes for how the foods can be prepared. Some of the recipes are a little time consuming but there are simpler ones in there too. It's got great practical ideas for sandwich fillings, puddings and snacks too.It also has weekly meal plans for different ages (4-6months, 7-9months, 10-12months and toddler and beyond). The weekly meal plans are not as easy to look at as those in the Anabel Karmel book but I never followed those anyway so it's nice to see advice that's less prescriptive.I would recommend this book to a parent who wants to expose their child to a wide variety of tastes and flavours whilst ensuring they are nutritionally fulfilled (and which parent is not like that!)

Made me stop panicking!
After reading a bunch of other books and feeling massively overwhelmed, this one saved me from a crisis! Well, actually the one I got from the library did (looks virtually the same by Rana Conway). There is a condensed version of that book in the front of this one. It takes the fear and panic of the pressure mums feel about whether to spoon feed or baby led. The recipes in this one aren't too crazy and there is a lot of good advise for the different stages. Well worth getting.

Helped me through weaning
I am so glad I stumbled across this book. It is neutral, non-judgemental and doesn't push either baby led weaning or traditional weaning but instead covers both. I have recommended it to all my friends. The book takes you through the different stages of weaning building up from simple purées and finger foods to meals that can be enjoyed together. I love the fact that the author is a dietician and feel confident that the recipes are simple, healthy and nutritious for my baby.

Recipe Book
I bought this after buying the other Weaning Made Easy Book. It has some good recipes to try and breaks it down every few months.

Recommended
I have made several of the recipes in this book for my little boy and he loves them. I found it a great help when I started weaning him, with clear guidelines about what foods are suitable to introduce at what age. This book covers both baby led and parent led weaning, and using both has worked very well for myself and my baby.
