Great task chair from a good name at a fair price
HON Solve Task Chair with ReActiv back and lumbar support is heavy duty and has five adjustments (up/down, forward/backward, seat back, arm rests, seat swivel) to meet my comfort needs. Seat is roomy and has eased front edge to reduce leg fatigue.

Reliable and sturdy chair build, but ergonomically challenged
Let me start with, I spent roughly 1-2 weeks shopping and read reviews for chairs in store and online, this is what I settled on, so take that for what it's worth.I'm a 28 y/o male, height is 6'2", and weight is 250+ lbs. I was consistently being scared off by the reviews left for other standing desk / drafting chairs on Amazon, and ultimately what I ended up realizing is that you can't afford to be cheap! Everything I saw under the $300 price point, whether or not is had 100k+ 5 star reviews, they normally were accompanied by 1-2 star reviews listing patterned complaints, couldn't be a coincidence. Most of the time these complaints were broken parts, flimsy build, not enough height, etc.I've had this chair for over 2 months now, and I want to say that the quality is superb. It's very sturdy, and there's not a hint of squeaky, cracking, tilting, etc. Every single component of the chair is high quality, and ultimately it gets the job done for a big guy/gal. The seat to floor height is going to be higher than the other chairs I mentioned earlier below the $300 price point, and I use the max height on this bad boy. If you're worried about quality, rest assured that this thing is built like a brick house...now let's move onto the cons.People complain about the seat comfort, but for me personally it has not bothered me in the slightest...might have something to do with standing for at least 20-30 minutes every hour. Additionally, you can buy a seat cushion if it really bothers you, and for an added bonus you'll have even more height.I can't comment to the arm rests, I don't use them on any chair because I don't like my shoulders pressed up into my neck.I ultimately gave this a 4/5 because the ergonomics of this chair are just bad.1) My biggest complaint, but not really the fault of the chair itself, is that a standing desk / drafting chair is problematic for posture. Part of proper posture is sitting with legs at 90 degrees, feet flat on the floor. The footrest ring on all drafting chairs, including this one, have a relatively small radius. I imagine everyone has to deal with this, but you're going to have to tuck your shins/feet underneath the seat and press into the balls of your feet if you're going to use the footrest ring, so that's not the ideal 90 degrees bend at your knees with feet flat against the floor.2) The lumbar support is crap, but I try to avoid leaning or rest back into the chair anyway because I'm trying to sit upright and maintain good seated posture/form. The times that I do lean back into the chair to relax a bit, the lumbar support is pretty nonexistent, and my lower back ends up hurting because when you're not seated with proper form, you're either hunched forward, or you're leaned back into the seat without any leg support so your lower back ends up supporting roughly 100% of the weight load, which is bad.A small purchase to consider would be a step stool, could potentially be hard for some to step up into this chair. Using the footrest ring has worked fine for me to step onto and lift myself up onto the seat, wearing shoes will help. You definitely don't want to hop or plop into this chair or any drafting chair!Other tips I feel that should be mentioned, is if you're shopping for a drafting chair, you'll likely want to purchase these items as well for your standing desk - Antifatigue Mat and Comfortable Shoes. You'll probably want to buy monitor stands as well if you're tall, because you want your monitor height to be at eye level while simultaneously having your elbows bent roughly at 90 degrees or lower while resting hands on keyboard.

Durable Ergonomic Chair
The chair has stood up over time. I've had this chair for over 2 years now and it has not sunk. There is some slight squeaking but the hydraulics are still going strong. It is overall comfortable an the breathable back helps with people that get hot. However, if you are on the bigger side the lumbar support may not do much.

Comfortable
This chair is awesome!!! This is the second different hon chair I owned and I absolutely love them. It's a large comfortable chair with great back support you can sit in for long periods of time without having to get up every few minutes to stretch.

Not Comfortable, but well built
It's just ok. It's not quite as tall as it needs to be for my application....my previous chair was perfect for that, and I actually had to move the cylinder from that chair to this one to make it work. That's not really why I gave it only 3 stars though. The reason for that is that it's just not comfortable at all. The seat cushion is more like a board. It's hard. I'm going to have to buy a cushion to put in it just to have some amount of comfort. On the up side, the way the foot ring secures to the cylinder is absolutely perfect....that was my biggest gripe with my previous chair and this one completely solves that problem....it doesn't slide even a little bit.YMMV on this one...I think some comfort has been sacrificed to make it a durable conference room chair and that's a shame because it's definitely well built.
