I’ve even turned other friends onto it within the last year. Every once in awhile I’ll get a single grass seed, but otherwise virtually weedless. Tractor Supply Co here and Lowe’s have a much better price ($15) for this size, so I stock up when it’s any cheaper, because it does sell out locally in Houston. It’s much lighter and easier to stack and store also. I don’t find it water logs or mold when left in the bag like mulch or soil does. I like this all around. **Q: Can I use this in my vegetable garden?** A: Absolutely, yes. I've used this for the past five years in my vegetable container gardens. It contains no pesticides or chemicals, only straw and guar gum as the tacking agent. It's the best mulch I've used. I always go back to it when I attempt to try anything else. **Q: Why does it have a prop 65 warning? Does it have lead in it?** A: I think that's about the bag it comes in.
